History       The 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment is a rapid deployment Parachute Infantry Battalion in the 82nd Airborne Division "America's Guard of Honor." Its mission is to, within 18 hours of notification, strategically deploy, conduct forcible entry parachute assault and secure key objectives for follow-on combat operations in support of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, the 82nd Airborne Division, and US National interests.The 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment was first constituted on 24 June 1942. airlifted back to North Africa to await further orders. About Us The 1st Bn, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment is a Mil-Sim group led by several active duty military members. We are currently openly recruiting members of ages 16 and up to fill our brand new unit. [Middle East Deployments / Realistic Operations] Unit Structure The 1/505th is broken down into 5 different sections which we hope to fully flush out in the future. firstly is the main force, our line infantry force: 1st Platoon "Anvil." Anvil is currently the only active platoon led by 1LT A. Gardner who currently serves in the U.S. Army. The Platoon Sergeant is SSG D. Canavan who is currently enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. The next platoon which this unit hopes to flush out is 2nd Platoon "Hammer." Hammer is our Heavy Weapons and Cavalry detachment consisting of 1 heavy weapons squad for close fire support, with an additional reconnaissance element responsible for call for fire and joint tactical air controlling, the platoon also consists of 2 Stryker crews to support our Anvil platoon. The 3rd Platoon is our air detatchment "Panther" This platoon consists of 1 UH-60 Black Hawk crew as well as 1 C130 crew for our paradrops
