I'm undecided on doing an open beta or not. Thoughts? But don't just say yes because you want to play the mod sooner.
I think an open beta would be a great idea. It would be a good way to get the mod out to a larger audience and more regiments. It would also be able to test the gameplay and servers with larger amounts of people, "stress test" the mod, so to speak. You could also get more feedback and observe the gameplay dynamics on pub servers, adjusting mechanics accordingly. A closed beta, as I see it, has no real advantages.

Where I live in Connecticut, there is actually an overpopulation of the deer, because we killed off all of their of their predators long ago. They are fucking everywhere. People are encouraged to hunt them.
