GG, im happy with our performances tonight, though it sucks we got 3rd in the groups instead of 2nd because points difference instead of points/rounds won was chosen as the primary tiebreaker after wins. The reason this still doesn't make sense to me and basically every tournament has used it the other way around, is that points shows how close you actually were to winning all matches, for example in groups of 5 teams, you can win a maximum of 20 rounds, meaning having 18 points would be ranked over 17 points (assuming equal wins of course) . Meanwhile round difference is much more arbitrary and penalizes you for beating an easier team 5-1 instead of 5-0, and thus inflates the value of rounds lost against easier teams you would beat anyways, while deflating the value of additional rounds won against harder teams that beat you.
