Obelix

During the Regimental Melee Tournament hosted earlier last month, Obelix was found to be playing for the 96y under a fake tag, despite being banned from the event. We understand the decision itself was questionable in certain aspects but regardless, if you intend to play in an event, respecting the rulings made by the host appears of paramount importance to keep a healthy competition going. For that reason, Obelix will be suspended during the first two weeks of the RGL.

We can’t stress enough that this is an extremely light punishment in regards to Obelix’s past and from the moment he is allowed back in the competition, he will be on a probation period where he is expected to show impeccable behaviour. Failure to do so will result in an instant and permanent ban from the competition. It’s also worth adding that though it shall not be considered as an excuse for him to let his attitude even slightly diminish, provocations made in order to get him banned will be treated just as harsly as we condemn these sort of behaviours with the most severity, no matter who they are targeting.

Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often.

96y Dneprovskiy Pehotniy Polk

During the Regimental Melee Tournament hosted earlier last month, the 96y Dneprovskiy Pehotniy Polk was found to be using a banned player in their roster, despite being made very clear that they should not be playing him. Same as in Obelix’s case, we cannot just close our eyes on that sort of behaviour from one of the oldest regiments in our community. Though we understand what could have gone through the 96y’s mind when the decision was made public, ignoring, hiding, faking and then lying in order to get one of your banned players to partake in the competition is probably the worst way to go about it. As RGL admins, it worries us the 96y could replicate such wrongful behaviours in our event based on them simply disregarding one of our decisions or rules.

For that reason, the 96y Dneprovskiy Pehotniy Polk will be given an official warning. We would find it extremely prejudicial for them to start the competition with a penalty affecting their league table ranking but we insist that would the 96y would themselves - even partially - involved in suspicious activities such as double regging, playing banned players or other condonable behaviours, they will be instantly and permanently removed from the competition.
