Nope, just download the full portable version.

It became a standalone thing since wse got outdated with updates to warband, installing 0.5 and the 0.552 patch on their own wont work.

Once you've installed the standalone version, go into the folder and double click wse launcher to run.

Cannons are completely different in Deluge compared to NW. They use different principles entirely. I don't remember the details, but from the Caribbean mod stealing Deluges cannons and then claiming they were scripts from NW, I do know they are very different.
