Well, I was half right. Starting pitching is carrying the day in the NLCS. I just didn't realize that it was the Milwaukee starters that were going to be so strong.

I wonder how many people, for a championship series game 5, being made to choose between Justin Verlander, David Price, Brandon Woodruff*, and Clayton Kershaw, would have picked out Verlander as having the worst start of them all.

Man Game 3 was like two games in one. Nathan Eovaldi, even though he allowed the walk off, was lights out the 6 innings he pitched. Definitely doesn't deserve the L, but that's baseball for ya. Game 4 will be interesting to see who is the starter for the Red Sox. My guess is Sale on short rest, it has to be tbh.

The game that wouldn't end. If Roberts will let Hill go more than four innings tomorrow today, they're in decent shape. Their problem is that instead of having a second starter come in to finish the game, they used every single reliever they have, so they need length from a guy whom Roberts is allergic to giving five innings.

Red Sox could start Sale, but he has never started on three days rest in his career following another start. They could also start Pomeranz, who had an awful year but is a starter. Rodriguez started 23 games and he only pitched an out. Kelly threw 12 pitches, so he can cover multiple innings. They have some options.

Basically, another 15 innings for game 4 would be great!
