19 sign ups! I will give a few more days for a few regiments I have been speaking to, to make their decision on if they are signing up and then we will start seeding Groups.

As we now have 20 sign ups, we will most likely make the groups 5 regiments in size. We would need 24 sign ups total in order to add more groups.

This means that if the bottom, 5th regiment in each group after the group stages complete, will NOT be advancing to the lower bracket.

Ligue imperiale is on at the moment. Thats why alot of french regiments are busy.

Schedule is as follows;

11th of May - 1st of June - Group Stages (1 week for any matches that had to be postponed)
1st of June - 28th of June - Play Offs

Was originally meant to be 6-7 weeks not 8, but we had a big influx of sign ups, so congratulations and thanks to all regiments who are taking part! <3

Now for the tough part.

Regiments who were denied from participating:

K-KA-66th Merger

The K-KA/66th have been refused from this tournament based upon a number of reasons;

First and foremost is the fact that this tournament is aimed at helping bring less competitive, less experienced regiments into the competitive 1v1 scene in the hopes that it will help keep the competitive scene that we all love playing alive for at least a little longer. The entry of the two top melee regiments at this time in a joint application (when both are easily capable of playing without a merger),  is quite frankly not in line with our goals of this tournament.

Secondly, the behaviour of the K-KA in the last NWL in regard to the insulting and the instigation of both referees and regiments is simply not acceptable, and will not be allowed or encouraged within the confines of this tournament. This tournament is intended to be a reasonably salt free, smooth flowing tournament in which each regiment is expected to uphold a certain level of discipline and respect for one's self and your opponents, and short of banning all chat in every match that you will play, we simply don't see how you could amend your behaviour to the level expected of you in this tournament.

Thirdly, we believe the only reason you have signed up to this tournament is because of the inclusion of anti camping rules, which although necessary, is not supposed to promote simply rushing into melee every round regardless of the consequences. We feel that your joint application with the 66th is an attempt to abuse these rules. At the end of the day this is intended to be a 1v1 tournament, not a glorified groupfighting tournament.

75th - Added to reserve list

We did have a long conversation about the nature of your application, however we just cannot find any real reasons to accept the 75th with its track record of never finishing a tournament, over other regiments who have built up a history and good relation with the community. Upon looking into the latest tournament your regiment took part in (RGL), we found you had broken the rules regarding invites multiple times and had eventually disbanded. This is not a track record we are willing to allow you to continue in EIC, and although we will place you upon the reserve list just in case of a regiment dropping out, for now you have been denied from taking part.

54th - Added to reserve list

Sorry Skitty, I know you want a chance, but especially with the recent changes with 43rd we decided that it would be best to have you on the reserve list. Unfortunately just like 75th your track record with regiments is just too poor in order for us to remove one of the other regiments in order to give you a spot. Apologies.

Players from K-KA/66th regiments will NOT be allowed to play in EIC. This will be done on a case by case basis, reg leaders will need to ask myself or Gi before they are to be added to any rosters.

These were joint written by myself and Gi, we both agreed on these reasons and they are final.

Thread will stay locked for at least another day.

Also, don't forget that your rosters and referee sign ups MUST be completed by the 11th or your regiment will be removed. Please consult the sign up template on the roster thread.
