Reminds me of this Steve Romero guy on facebook. Judging from all the pictures he posts the guy must be doing like 20 different impressions. I don't even know why I have him on fb...

Steve Romeo is a legend. Everyone has him on facebook. He added me too.

And yes, he is constantly posting pictures and stuff. He must have a dozen impressions.

Most reenactment battles regardless of the era are generally pretty unrealistic. This is one of the few scenarios that I feel could actually have some resemblance to what soldiers would actually behave like in battle.

1st California at the Battle of Balls Bluff
Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

Actually balls bluff event was farby. These Union men retreated safely. FARB. They should be pushed against the edge of cliff. Falling into the river or surrendering. Guess we don't wanna reenact falling and drowning. Losers.

Would have been pretty rad seeing the governor or Oregan being killed and his California (Pennsylvanians) brigade falling to pieces.

No idea if you guys outside of the Uk can see this but it's an hour long epissode of a documentary series looking at reenactment, this episode was filmed mainly at Hunton court last year and features the 21eme a lot, with our Adjutant Chris Durkin making a great contribution.

Bit of drama at around 50 minutes, I think Durkin carried himself out superbly.

It's okay, Who would want to watch British reenactors. Your country just saved you some time. Give your thanks to the glorious people's democratic Netherlands.
