Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

Well, Diplex, I'm not sure but perhaps Napoleonic or WWI would be a bit easier in Sweden. Not that I know much about the reenacting scene in Scandinavia.

I do know a Swedish guy who did 5.SS "Wiking" and would fight Russians (from Russia) most of the time in either Sweden or Russia. Funny, that. However, he had a son and such, so he got out of the hobby.

Vikings
Lucky.  >:(

Also, Landrik, I'll be missing out on the Italian Front tactical as well. I heard it went well last year though.
And do those Soviets have a website?

It was OK last year. We were rolling up Ami all day long on our flank. The SS/FJ/Italian flank was a little weaker because of communications so they took a lot of the brunt fighting against the Commonwealth. There is also a pretty damn deep and almost impassible ravine in the center of "Lugovograd", so supporting each other was strained. However, we really came out on top with capturing the Allied camp twice, destroying a heavy equipment cache (A lone .50 cal display, haha), and obliterating any sort of counter-attacks. Ami love to stick to the roads.

You bet your sweet ass I do. Next event is in Enfield, NC. Romania 1944 where the Romanians turned on the Germans and destroyed an Army group. (Which my regiment was part of. Bad luck, my regiment.)

Wow, they look like a pretty good group. If I was going to do a Soviet impression, it would be with them. And their commander looks a lot the German that took me prisoner at the Hürtgen forest event.  :o

" Look and act like Red Army soldiers, NOT Red Army reenactors "   I already like the unit.

I've been thinking about doing WW2 reenacting sometime in the future. If I did, i would probably likely to be in a German unit. I hope I get to experience it someday.

The Polish/Czech scene is amazing.

The Brits and Aussies have some good stuff going too.

If you're in the US or Canada, I can help you out with vendors and "what to buy". Either way, I'm always trying to help newcomers get into the hobby, no matter what era or impression they do.

World war II is just...small, here. Like all re-enactment. Frankly, being one of the most densely populated nations in the world doesn't exactly help.

No wonder I had a feeling of déjà vu...

Also, do you know of any British units in the mid-atlantic area?
