What was the first thing you remember when you first played NW?

Being blowned up by Hekko and his rocketeering.

Personally I remember coming into the desert village map, and it was all very crazy. There were lots of people running around, lots of people dying, crazy music, there seemed to be absolutely no order, and I recall my first question being how to melee.
Needless to say, I fell in love instantly.

Entering a 200 man battle server, an epic skirmish. My regiment setting up defenses on a hill and firing a will.

Fun battle round with crazy rockets with 15e and their aimbots :D

Cowering inside a house hearing explosions,bullets, and horrible screams out side, all while hearing "Canon in D", most unapropiate music ever...

US_Official_1, battle. Jorge and I were in Teamspeak, it was a snow map, shrapnel and explosions were everywhere. A great day.

Messing around on commander battle with the 7de. Greatest time ever, laughing with friends while commanding beautifully uniformed soldiers.

My first time playing NW. Was one day after it was release. Never played MM.
When I enter my first server which was US 1. I was the last one alive, and surrounded by the rest of the team.Which was about 16-20. Some of them were are at our spawn. I was able to kill 8 of them before getting stab to death. (It was a down stab that ended my life.) . Then after that i left it alone for about 5 months. After all that it was a good first time experience.

In that time The Deluge mod was still up to date..
My first impression: Damn NW is one ugly piece of shit compared with The Deluge just my opinion.

Played hide and seek with some of the devs and other beta-testers at the time on the Avignon map. Was more fun than actually playing the game properly ever was.

I remember finishing installing the game and first time loading it up. The Grenadier Battalion I was in, led by Diplex, and that day was a training. I remember practicing the melee and not being used to the melee system compared to MM.

I remember me waiting with some old friends the whole evening, and then I bought it and I was going musician, but Iwas lagging ( FPS ) alot.. Then I had to go to a birthday.

First time - went onto a TDM server with about 16 people and topped the scoreboards - I therefore decided that I liked NW and continued to play.

Back in the NW beta, I was always terrified when I updated the game that I would accidentally fuck up the whole dropbox...
I never did though :P

I don't quite remember my first public play... However I do remember the first time playing a linebattle with the Marins Garde. We deployed near some artillery & went crazy with those sandbags.
Off in the distance was a massive black swarm, we started shooting at them, but no matter how many we killed, it was still massive...(1stFKI)

My first play was on the night it came out, immediately joined official EU1, and got pwned a lot of times with the new melee and such xD

I remember buying the game when I got home from school, literally within 5 minutes of getting home. About 30 minutes later I was playing with 2 friends trying out the new artillery.

I remember buying the game and trying to figure out how to melee. It was such a shock to go from MM to NW. Of course, then the Reddit Brigade had a big MM melee tourney the next day, so I had to reacquaint myself with the fighting in that game.
I also remember 5arge's first Friday LB in NW, and how for the fun round it was partizani vs. rockets. Oh god the server lag. I would go upwards of 5 seconds with nothing happening on the screen. Glory.

Decided to buy the dlc with my friend, went on a server, got two lancer kills on first round, felt real proud, got recruited for the 3rd royal artillery. That was a good day.

Playing on some weird pratice map with some other beta testers, and developers. Made my first small "Fort" as engineer.

Mine was on the release day of the game, The TRR server was already up and we decided to try it out. We managed to get about 50 players on that evening at the height of it's popularity, i remember checking the EU1 server to see that it was completely full (200 players)

We made a marching band of about 20 people, drums and pipes. It was my first proper experience in NW and is still one of the best.

Joined EU1, there were map Spanish mountain pass, and i was pleasantly surprised that my old PC can run NW with ~200 men and a bit disappointed because average fps was like 10-15, then starts new map with even more trees and more props, fps dropped to 5-10, and i realized that i could normally play only as a musician or standard bearer, looking on the ground, until I will get stronger machine

Shot by a dragoon. From that day I have always hated dragoons like every other intelligent person that plays NW....
My friends first experience was to just randomly aim into the distance as he spawned and get a headshot across the other side of the map... :P

Was playing my very first event which was siege don't remember which map, was standing in the line and was trying to learn all the controls when i kicked someone in the line by accident and then got shoot in the face by an officer - "DISCIPLINE!!"

Just when I started playing, I joined the old 63e with Diplex as Colonel. In one of the first line battles i was in Diplex got shot from long range (Or something like that), and he was like "ARE YOU YOKING ME!" I don't know how many of the 63e players remember that, but that was seriously some of the most hilarious I've ever heard. ;D

I had to get up early that day, I had 30 minutes to spare and found it was released. I had per-ordered the night before and I played on Snowy Village and saw an old friend.

Haha, i made first complain thread to the tw forums since the release was crappy.
I waited at my computer like an mad man for 4-hours that day and kept hitting refresh.
When i finally got it, it crashed soon as i pressed "Multiplayer" at the menu.
Only custom battles for me when other people were playing.

I was on my brothers computer trying it out, it was on the La Haye Sante map, the original (Which should come back because it was awesome) one that was on MM. Before they made the new one.
I went charging as a Highlander, but kept slowing by pressing shift to aim, and kept getting shot at and attacked. Oh when we were noobs.

Didn't you do what I did and edit the text file to put zooming back in, then when I was told you could get banned scurried off and took it off again :P Oh those were the days of being influenced by others :P

A massive battle on a random plains map with fighting on hilltops, cavalry, and rockets. It was intense and epic, I fell in love with the game immediately. I still remember leading a gaggle of UK light dragoons in a charge. Don't remember the outcome however I do remember ending up hiding behind a rock nearly dead and desperately firing my carbine.

I was a soldier, a hero, you know. I walked over to my left leg, I shot, dead people, my heart swells with pride. After more than two murders, and I have a good amount of points to complete the run.

My first battle was a 1v1 against a regiment... I don't remember what one but I didn't realise teamkilling was on and spammed wildly until I teamkilled 8 times. Safe to say they didn't invite me back to a 1v1 until I went through Cadet training :P

I wanted to join the 77y really bad (because Malakith, I saw his videos and got really interested) I got the game in 2014 or 15. I think it was 14 yeah..2014 and that was my 1st regiment, and I sucked so bad at the game I almost quit..
