The shock propaganda of MGs in WWI still holds true for some reason. I've seen allied bumrushes through MG-42 fire in gaming have less casualties than what WWI movies would have you believe.

The MG doesn't kill a horde by itself. Thats why MGs where used in conjunction with rifles, the MG would surpress the attackers and the rifles would use aimed fire to kill them. Thats the idea of surpressing fire, but that tactic wasn't big until later in WW1. In WW1 it was pretty much just shoot in a general direction due to the compacter formations and known routes of attack, compared with WW2 where you have small units typically spread out, with the ability to attack from different directions.

Good movie, but book is even better, one of my favourites, showing the US army from WWI untill Vietnam through the story of the one man - Samuel Damon.

I think they're working on code.

And models, and textures and a lot of other interesting things. Everybody in the team has specific tasks. Not sure i can talk about the artillery system, but that's been adapted to to a WW1 scenario too.

I came here to look at updates and all I see in between here and there is needless drama...

Regardless, it looks good so far, and although my regiment is going to be American, I'd love to see Ottomans in it, always had a fascination with the Turks. I know it's more work and all, but I think the more nations the better, a little diversity never hurt nobody.

Say Rig, I found this site that shows the uniforms from a wide variaty of nations from a long period of time, World War I included. I'll post the link and see if you think it's worth your time.
