If you do your research you will notice that homosexuality was labelled as a disorder up until the 1970s and was only changed due to mounting political pressure to change it, and not because science deemed it natural.
Natural as in nature? As in the more then 1500 species that are known to have homosexual relationships, ranging from birds to dolphins?
Them dolphins, so hipster.
We would be hypocritical if we said that loving someone of your own gender is OK but necrophilia, incest, or beastiality is wrong
Not really. (Age of) consult is pretty much the golden standard in that. Incest might slip trough that, but we must remember that incest was perfectly acceptable until into the late 19th century and in some parts of the world still is. I sure am no fan of it, but what do I care if two people want to fuck?
"But Duuring, any possible child is sure to be handicaped!"
True, but as far as I know, there's no rule against people with (a high change of) mental handicaps, born-with diseases or even HIV to make kids.
Bismarck, I feel that you look only at the sexual part of gay relationships. Try to put some more focus on the relationship thing.
Yeah, well, that's just a myth. Properly speaking, homosexuality does not exist among animals.... For reasons of survival, the reproductive instinct among animals is always directed towards an individual of the opposite sex. Therefore, an animal can never be homosexual as such. Nevertheless, the interaction of other instincts (particularly dominance) can result in behavior that appears to be homosexual. Such behavior cannot be equated with an animal homosexuality. All it means is that animal sexual behavior encompasses aspects beyond that of reproduction. Although homosexual behavior is very common in the animal world, it seems to be very uncommon that individual animals have a long-lasting predisposition to engage in such behavior to the exclusion of heterosexual activities. Thus, a homosexual orientation, if one can speak of such thing in animals, doesn't exist.
Of course I'm only looking at the sexual part of homosexual relationships, since I'm only arguing that it isn't natural. As long as you libtards accept that fact, there's nothing else to be argued against homosexuality, due to that my case against it is purely secular. It is not something that gets passed over generations or is inherited from one's genes. It is a kind of repressed sexual behavior one learns from the environment consciously or unconsciously in which one lives. At times it becomes a matter of choice, at others a mere display of reckless and unguided behavior in the shameless disguise of helplessness. I'm no homophobe; I don't endorse their lifestyle, I stay out of it. I treat them better than a lot of the persons I know and provide them with respect without being prompted. I'm not perfect and I don't believe it is my right to judge others.
Oh yeah, homosexuality is beneficial even, due to our planet's overpopulation, but the thing is that it will affect dramatically the birthrate compared to mortality in the future. Sure, feel free to defend it for a couple of decades, but soon after that, the negative effects will be more than noticeable.
