I was really sad when AZW went dead, people still play it, but now that I know of this; well, yes, there's nothing to say accept: YESSSS!!!!!! :D :D :D

- played AZW since the start.

I do remember you from early on, glad to still have you with us :)

The mod's coming along, and we're very glad to hear all this renewed interest in the mod; it's certainly a bolster to our morale :) Hopefully we can get some kind of update out soon but don't get your hopes up, that's not a promise ;)  Thanks again for staying with us.

I need the team list.

As posted earlier, the team is still being gathered, with candidates being assessed, but William, Blucher, and I are already confirmed to be working on it again.

The 12e would love to do events with the new mod :) You have our support with it!
Many thanks for your support :) We hope to have a number of PvE AZW Events, or at least the maps for such, and PvP Regimental events for ASW upon release.

This is Great news, i love that era .

Remember that we will not be focusing on the late-era Sudan War; Lee-Metfords/Bolt-Actions will not be present for the foreseeable future.

We may explore later eras in future modifications.

If you want this mod to revive. And to be succesful, you better have some new features. Or else it gets considered another Full Invasion Mod. Those skins better be godlike by the way.
We intend to have new features from the old mod; we are once again looking at ammo-carriers and rapid-fire artillery (Hint hint).
In addition, our new skins and models will be of significantly higher quality than the old ones.

Why would you scrap everything made instead of just continue on it?
And will Wilhelm or Blucher be working on this?

The previous content we produced was of poorer quality than that which we can produce now; as well, the old module was poorly done and frankly, broken.

Blucher will continue as mod-team leader; some of the original team, such as myself and Willhelm will continue to be to full members of the mod team, while new (And old) talent will be slowly added to help.

The old content, while serviceable, was not the best we could do. Hence, we are starting anew, to refocus the AZW mod portion on PvE and replace our PvP hopes with the ASW portion.

The Anglo-Zulu War / AZW Mod News! (Dec 1, 2013)(AZ/SW+)
« on: December 02, 2013, 02:57:39 am »
Good news, everyone!
The AZW Mod team has returned from hiatus and has begun production on a new modification in the same historical   vein as the original. Scrapping both AZW and the now defunct AZW:Resurrection, this new mod seeks to display and showcase British historical conflicts throughout the late 19th century, including the early phases of the Anglo-Sudan War, the Anglo-Zulu War, as well as, later on in the mod's development, conflicts in Afghanistan and other regions.

This new mod will reduce the focus on PvP from the AZW section and convert it into a more horde-type survival experience, due to popular demand. New British units (Including foreign auxiliaries and an expanded Boer presence) will be introduced for the sake of content and historical accuracy. Zulus will be rebalanced (No more pesky sniper-spears!) and, like the entirety of the new Anglo Zulu War portion of the mod, redone in both models and textures.

At the same time, the Anglo-Sudan war will be focused mainly around PvP, with Sudanese players standing more of a chance against the British faction in a 1 on 1 duel. AZW will still be playable in PvP, but will not be a primary focus of the new modification. New weapons and uniforms, as well as units and regiments will be added, distinguishing this more modern British army from its older counterpart in the Zulu war.

Like AZW Before it, AZ/SW+ will be multiplayer only, and require Mount and Blade Warband, as well as the Napoleonic Wars DLC.

Summary of new features (TLDR):
-Completely re-done mod from scratch, featuring the British (Older/Newer), Zulu, and Sudanese factions (With more to come later on)
-New Graphics, models, weapons, and uniforms for the British, Zulus, and Sudanese.
-New maps and scenarios
-Zulu will be focused on PvE, Sudan will be focused on PvP

We would like to stress that AZ/SW+ is /not/ an update or a continuation of the first AZW mod. It is a fully new version of the original AZW built from the bottom up.

With university physics comes a lack of free time; I am working on it slowly but surely, but short of not sleeping and just modding, I certainly can't guarantee a new release any time soon, truly sorry about that.

I am legitimately strongly considering adding in something in this vein as an easter egg for a future release, oh my god this is amazing. Thank you. So much.

My god this mod is cool! Great work.

A bit late to the party, aren't we ;P

The original AZW is no longer under development, but I've been given the go-ahead by Blucher (The old mod team leader) To continue development on my own. Stay tuned for AZW:Resurrection, the latest update to The Anglo-Zulu War modification :)

Can you unban me? I was banned for playing as zulu I said sorry and they banned me for no reason.

The first post clearly states that there is no playing as Zulus unless otherwise specified.

ADMINS -- PEOPLE FROM MANY COUNTRIES CAN NOT DOWNLOAD FROM GAMEFRONT THAT IS WHY THE MOD HAS SO FEW PLAYERS, PLEASE PUT UP A NEW LINK SO THIS MOD WILL BE MORE POPULAR.......and when is 0.05 coming out?

The mod's dev cycle is finished man, we won't be making a 0.05 (In the foreseeable future).
Our DL link is the DL link that's there to stay, I'm afraid.

Ohoho, I like it a lot, man. I'll have to try this out and see how it looks in-game.
