The thing with Kickstarter is that the donators usually in return get to voice their opinion. If enough people wants something in a game the game developers will implement it. Thus you pay for the game you want to play (perfected for you).
Kickstarter isn't a bad idea though.

The devs are doing the same thing on the donators board and have actually folded multiple suggestions into the game.

If that's the case I personally do not see the need for kickstarter, unless it can change the progress in a major way.

Considering they only announced this 13 days ago and have raised nearly 4000 euros from the community alone...they're doing alright.

Just wait until they have more to show for it and it gets more press. I really believe the first 50 percent is going to be harder to raise unlike the last 50.

That's strange because for a lot crowd funded games, the first few days/weeks is when most of the money comes in after all those who have an immediate interest spend their monies. Now considering that the community is already here you would've expected most of them to have donated by now, yet only 6% has been raised so far. But then again perhaps they are just playing it smart and safe and waiting until some more useful information or media is available.

Some of the community is skeptical to donate and i am sure they will change their minds when more dev diaries come out

Well, some people need time to collect money, or like Coconut said want to wait until more updates "diaries" are made out until they are sure they will be satisfied with donating.

They've already said they couldn't use kickstarter because of where they live.

Yeah I mean Indegogo could be a great oppurtunity to get some outside backers that are not familliar with FSE even though Indegogo is smaller then Kickstarter it's worth a shot right?

Would you trust finance to a third party?

You dont have to be american, you can be from the UK but here are the requirements-

You are a permanent UK resident either creating a project in your own name or on behalf of a legal entity with a Companies House Number.
You have a UK address, UK bank account, and government-issued ID (driver's license or passport).
You have a major UK credit or debit card.
You are 18 years of age or older.

Kickstarter to the UK has been on for a while now...
