Servers / Recognition

Me and the 59th haven't always got along but if I flame them when they do things wrong its only fair I make a thread when they start doing things right.
The Adminship standard has improved vastly over the past year on NWRP and 59th jailbreak and in all fairness they did root out the bad admins and revoke their adminships, including the specific one that ban hammered me for standing in the wrong place. They've been putting a fair amount of work into mapping ect and now I really do think that NWRP is the successor server to "EU1" which many of us miss xD. Along with jailbreak and NWRP, 59th siege I think is coming soon and some mod servers like Zulu and invasion. Something they've been working pretty hard on lately.

The fact that with the recent sales, player spikes are to be expected, but weeks later the retention of players in the community is far greater than it has been for a long time. A lot of this is down to servers being well run, admined and supervised. Think its fair to appreciate kaide who dishes out the cash and the head admins lonely wolf and KLR4 who have done a lot to sort out the admin standards. Tim literally rents out servers for non-profit so more servers can be available for the community. maximilien (the owner of EU commander and Minisiege) and all others who put hard earned cash into providing servers for the community.

Community / Why Kaide should never be an admin

Perhaps the name is unfair as my quarrel is with only one member, kaide. Some shit happened where he got banned from groupfighting from someone in my regiment. in "KingKaide's" infinite wisdom he decided to ban me from the server for having the same tags as the player who banned him from another server.  The fact is this adminship and far worse is a regular occurrence on both "Napoleonic role play" and "59th jailbreak". Its his server you might say, surely he can do as he wishes but these are two of the most populated servers on NW, what they do reflects on the community as a whole.

I've never got a perm ban in 2500 hours over 3 years of playing. Irritates me that my first should be through no fault of my own. I left it 2 weeks before flaming on the forums but I'm still banned with no unban in sight, tried reasoning with him and despite him admitting that his actions were morally wrong he refused to unban. Post thoughts below or any similar experiences, anybody have any recommended courses of action?

Community / Adminship standard?

I've been playing this game pretty much since release. We started with great servers like EU1 and 84e that had great admins that were active and picked from the best candidates, not by which regiment they were from. Now all it seems we have is regimental servers where recruits who spawn admin horses are given adminship priority over long standing members of the community with good experience. I don't apply for admin status often because I don't play enough to warrant it but its sad when I do come on and I get slain for asking why a 59th admin has spawned a ban hammer.
Anyone else noticing this or just me?
