Just because im stefiboy...
Because the battle is full and you change names every other week.

Great Linebattle  ;D
Thanks!

95KB, 98KL, 1stSvea are removed, we are no longer accepting applications. The waiting list will be amended. Please PM the application if you want to join.
Rules are going to be updated. I just want to make a few more minor changes. Past today rules will not be argued.

Rules are changed, thread was tidyed up to fit the new battle format. Next week's lineup:
Skirm: 60th & 89th
Arty: FKI, 1stRddt
Cav: 1erPLG, 1stRddt

Dragoons may now form skirmish lines if dismounted, thanks to Divine for mentioning it!

Its a public battle, meaning that everyone is allowed to apply. And apologies for my last statement, the waiting list will not be removed.

I was wondering why you did a clump formation in front of a howitzer? Lol it happens to everyone.

Fun LB Mene, both sides got varied terrain and tactical advantages and disadvanges to play with. I also like having combined arms on medium maps, the rounds go by quickly that way.

Never
Regiment Name: 1stRddt
Regiment Leader: Hader, Ginjar, Savs, Chromakey, Disgrntld, Ocularis, AllHail, CaptainCanada
Leader's Steam: hader102
Estimated Attendance ~40
Desired Role: Skirms
Approved. Unless 89th signs up again then I'm taking skirms too. Rules are thanks to suggestions from readers like you  :-*

New event rules have been ratified and old ones overturned. These new measures are to ensure no camping will happen. If I feel they do not work next time I will go back to the drawing board or just remove artillery.

75th Highlanders removed for not attending shit and barely making it last time. 88th Added to replace them along with the 13thSLI added. Edit: 63e removed and 112thVA added.

Waiting list cleared, I want more line infantry to sign up to balance the specials.

Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

My view on specialty roles and balancing with line infantry is you should keep a good ratio of the units dependent on the size of the linebattle. Tonight for instance, we had roughly 80v80 the whole night. I would make sure at least 60% of each faction is line infantry. In tonight's case of numbers, that would leave ~32 slots for non line infantry roles. Split among the 3 roles that should be 12 cav, 12 skirms, and 8 artillery. This would be enough for arty to have a nearly a full compliment, but be short 2 guards in this case. Should we fall to a 60v60 though, we would only have 24 special slots open with this ratio, leaving only enough for 10 cav, 10 skirms and 4 arty, meaning arty should have only one cannon or howitzer and one or two guards. I find keeping the ratios like this, especially limiting the artillery in lower attendance, is the best way to maintain balance. While I don't like camping and delaying the end of the round either, I don't think having no sappers will help much. Having very low sapper build points, low enough to really only make it feasible for arty to build some minor defenses, is the best way to avoid base building/camping. If you really want to help move things along, I would suggest a 20-25 minute time limit per round, in conjunction with a rule either saying less than 8 men or so remaining on a side no more artillery can fire, or if one side has an advantage in numbers and does not start to expedite the end of the round before the time runs out, their team will be considered the loser of the battle.

Food for thought.

I'm curious to what the gripe of camping was? Us?

Was it because we built fortifications?
