M&B: Warband - Napoleonic Wars / Torneo italiano
« on: July 04, 2016, 10:24:39 am »

Warning: I need to double-check the data. I'll do it in the next days

Spoiler
Canada (171 pts) and USA (72 pts) played in the NWWC 2013 and in the NWWC 2015. However, they are not in the ranking because they played on EU server with an high ping, it wouldnt be fair.

F.A.Q.

How does it work?

Basically I used this formula for each match played by these nations:
Code
P = M x I x T
P = points gained
M = result of the match; 3 pt victory, 1 pt draw, 0 pt loss
I = importance of the match; 1 pt for the matches of the group stages, 2 pt for the quarter finals, 3 pt for the semifinals and the bronze matches and 4 points for the finals. NOTE: for the mini-NWWC this changed a bit, because it didn't have a group stage and it was a "mini" tournament, not as important as the other ones. So I used 1 pt for the 1st,2nd and 3rd round, 2 pt for the semifinals and bronze match, and 3 for the finals.
T = strength of the opposite team, this is calculated using (40 - n); n = ranking of the opposite team. NOTE: for the first tournament, the NWWC 2013, I ranked all the teams in the same position.
Moreover, for the matches lost with a gap of 3 or less rounds I gave 10 pt bonus for the team defeated.

Example
Group Stage NWWC 2029, match: UK (ranked 1st) vs Slovakia (ranked 13th). Results: UK wins 10-9
Scores: Slovakia 10 pts (bonus); UK pt = 3 x 1 x (40-13)= 81

Why does Ukraine have more points than Russia?

Ukraine and Russia played as a single team for the first three tournaments. They played on their own for the mini-NWWC. So, both of them have the points of the Russia-Ukraine coalition + the points they made in the last tournament. Same for Czech Republic and Slovakia (that played as Czechoslovakia) and Canada and USA (played as North America in 2013).

What tournaments did you consider?

NWWC 2013 10v10 https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=9622.0
NWEC 2014 https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=14926.0
NWWC 2015 https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=22221.msg934929#msg934929
mini-NWWC https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=26870.msg1172068#msg1172068

How can I use this?

It could be used in the next tournaments. Anyway feel free to use it at your convenience.

Can I help you?

Sure, you could help me with a decent introduction (my english is shitty :) ) or with data and other stats that I'm planning to add, PM me!

General Discussion / Project/survey: NW-WR (World Ranking)
« on: January 10, 2016, 02:17:22 pm »
Ehy

I'd like to use the FIFA ranking system to create our NW ranking system, but I'd like to read you opinion before doing anything.

System adopted: FIFA style
FIFA ranking
How are points calculated in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking?
The basic logic of these calculations is simple: any team that does well in world football wins points which enable it to climb
the world ranking.
Calculation of points for a single match
The number of points that can be won in a match depends on the following factors:
• Was the match won or drawn? (M)
• How important was the match (ranging from a friendly match to a FIFA World Cup™ match)? (I)
• How strong was the opposing team in terms of ranking position and the confederation to which they belong? (T
and C)

These factors are brought together in the following formula to ascertain the total number of points (P).
P = M x I x T x C
The following criteria apply to the calculation of points:
M: Points for match result
Teams gain 3 points for a victory, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a defeat. In a penalty shoot-out, the winning team
gains 2 points and the losing team gains 1 point.
I: Importance of match
Friendly match (including small competitions): I = 1.0
FIFA World Cup™ qualifier or confederation-level qualifier: I = 2.5
Confederation-level final competition or FIFA Confederations Cup: I = 3.0
FIFA World Cup™ final competition: I = 4.0
T: Strength of opposing team
The strength of the opponents is based on the formula: 200 – the ranking position of the opponents
As an exception to this formula, the team at the top of the ranking is always assigned the value 200 and the teams
ranked 150th and below are assigned a minimum value of 50. The ranking position is taken from the opponents’ ranking
in the most recently published FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.
C: Strength of confederation
When calculating matches between teams from different confederations, the mean value of the confederations to which
the two competing teams belong is used. The strength of a confederation is calculated on the basis of the number of
victories by that confederation at the last three FIFA World Cup™ competitions. Their values are as follows:
CONMEBOL 1.00
UEFA 0.99
AFC/CAF/OFC/CONCACAF 0.85
[close]

So the formula, for NW, could be
Code
P = M x I x T
(no C, we dont have confederations in NW)
P = points
M = match result; victory 3 points, draw 1 point, loss 0 point
I = importance of match: friendly match (from 2016, not before!) = 1 pt; group stage = 2 pt; quarter finals = 3 pt; semi finals and bronze match = 4 pt; finals = 5 pt.
T = strength of the opposite team using this formula:
Code
T = 50 - n
n = ranking number of that team, 50 = very random number, not too high.
note: I need a new standard for the 2013 ranking, so I could use the same n for all the teams, just for the 2013 ranking obv.

Other Games / Killing Floor 2
« on: January 09, 2016, 10:09:42 am »

Background story
In KILLING FLOOR 2 players descend into continental Europe where the outbreak caused by Horzine Biotech’s failed experiment has quickly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralyzing the European Union. Just one month after the conclusion of the events in the original KILLING FLOOR, the specimen clones are everywhere and civilization is in disarray; communications have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. The people of Europe know survival and self-preservation too well and lucky survivors have gone into hiding.

Not all have given up hope though... A group of civilians and mercenaries have banded together, paid for by Horzine, to combat the outbreak and established privately funded operation bases across Europe. Upon tracking specimen clone outbreaks, players will descend into zed-laden hot zones and exterminate them.

Key features

- Visceral Gore - KILLING FLOOR 2 ramps up the gore with a proprietary, high powered persistent blood system bringing new levels of fidelity to the genre. Players will send entrails, severed limbs, and blood flying as they wade through hordes of enemies. But they need to watch out! If caught, enemies will rip them, and their entire party limb from limb
- 6 player co-op or solo play - A multitude of varied playable characters await for players to choose from as they enter the fray in online co-op mode or solo mode for those willing to brave the horrific specimens alone.
- Terrifying Zeds - New enemies and fan favorites from the original game are back with expanded and smarter artificial intelligence, dishing out powerful attacks, attacking in mobs to weaken the player’s party and pushing the challenge level and fear factor to new levels.
- New take on "Difficulty" - Most games just ramp up health and damage for the enemies. In KF2, the Zeds will start to behave differently as you work through the difficulty levels. New attack moves. New ways to get at you. New strategies. Be prepared for surprises!
- Unique Blend Of Weaponry - Modern military assault rifles, brutal improvised makeshift weapons, classic historical guns, and off the wall “Mad Scientist” weapons, KILLING FLOOR 2 has a unique blend of killing tools that will satisfy any gamer.
- Expanded Perk System - Perks from the original game have been reimagined with more added to the fold. All perks now progress with meaningful talent choices that amplify different play styles, giving players a progression path that is expansive and full of rewarding milestones.
- Brutal Melee Combat - KILLING FLOOR 2 reinvents melee combat completely. Players now have control over the type of melee attacks they can perform, enabling them to deliver bone-breaking crippling attacks to Zeds.
- SDK - as always with our games, the tools to create maps and so much more! With Early Access, this will allow the creation of new levels. The full SDK support will be rolled out through the Early Access period.

M&B: Warband - Napoleonic Wars / NWEC 2015, organizziamoci
« on: February 16, 2015, 11:32:55 am »
Salve

-deve avere minimo 10 e massimo 13 membri

Server Teamspeak3: 37.187.7.111:9999
Gruppo Steam: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/tiroler_JB

« on: March 27, 2014, 11:17:30 am »
Hello guys.
I would ask you if you're happy with the current time of the most of the events organized on NW, because basically all of them are at 7gmt. I think that for some people (from Italy, Spain, South France etc..) it's not a very good hour, at 8-8,30 gmt, after dinner, should be better.
Would you be interested in a event set at 8 pm gmt for example? Or is it impossible for people of northern countries of Europe? Let me know ^^
