Regiments / Royal Sicilian Rangers [DISBANDED]

The Royal Sicilian Rangers are a light infantry regiment who aim to have a focus on community and comradery. We feel strongly about having a relaxed and fun environment for all of our enlisted members, however skill is still highly valued and is rewarded through both promotions and medals.

History: While this regiment is non-historical, the name "Royal Sicilian Rangers" was inspired by similar skirmisher and light infantry regiments who formed in the Mediterranean and found themselves joining the ranks of Wellington's army, notably regiments such as the Royal Corsican Rangers. In 1806, when the island of Sicily was invaded by French troops under Napoleon's orders, British soldiers under the command of John Stuart swiftly came to assist the island's defence and subsequently held it for the duration of the Napoleonic Wars. The British presence in the Mediterranean created an opening for many Corsicans, Maltese and Sicilians who resented Napoleon to fight against him in regiments such as ours.
