We are the fighting 95th, the first on the field and the last out of it!We are a friendly regiment with a terrible sense of humor!
We want to attend daily Linebattles in which we pride ourselves on our marksmanship!
Shoot the Bloody Officer!
And we're proud about our ability to die heroically! Over the hills, and far away!
Here's forty shillings on the drum
For those who'll volunteer to come
To 'list and fight the foe today.
Over the hills and far away.
O'er the hills and o'er the main.
Through Flanders, Portugal and Spain.
King George commands and we obey.
Over the hills and far away.
When duty calls me, I must go
To stand and face another foe.
But part of me will always stray
Over the hills and far away.
O'er the hills and o'er the main.
Through Flanders, Portugal and Spain.
King George commands and we obey.
Over the hills and far away.
If I should fall to rise no more,
As many comrades did before,
Then ask the fifes and drums to play.
Over the hills and far away.
O'er the hills and o'er the main.
Through Flanders, Portugal and Spain.
King George commands and we obey.
Over the hills and far away.
Then fall in lads behind the drum,
With colours blazing like the sun.
Along the road to come-what may.
Over the hills and far away.
O'er the hills and o'er the main.
Through Flanders, Portugal and Spain.
King George commands and we obey.
Over the hills and far away.
O'er the hills and o'er the main.
Through Flanders, Portugal and Spain.
King George commands and we obey.
Over the hills and far away.
Now that we have that bit out of the way, this is a fresh start for the 95th. There have been many iterations of the 95th over the years since the early days of Mount and Musket, to what is now Napoleonic Wars and as we look forward to new modules for M&B II: Bannerlord or even if the community switches to new projects like Hold Fast:Nations at War (although we really prefer M&B).
I was once a cadet in the 95th. I finished as a Major after 4 years and took a 4 year hiatus. I am back as the new Founder of a fresh 95th Rifles company. The plan is to establish a new foothold in the community for new and old Skirmishers alike, and as the Battalion grows maybe we can see some fresh Regiments become re-established.
There once was a glorious era of Napoleonic Wars, let's keep that memory alive and bring back some old Regiments to new faces. From the start of my Journey there has been lots of contention over room for progression and lack of it. I hope to change that with the new rankings for the 95th Regiment of Foot and also when we can add new companies, so join me in my Discord and we can talk about it all while killing frenchies (primarily).
And what makes a good soldier ? The ability to fire three rounds a minute in any weather.

God is not on the side of the big battalions, but of the best shots.
NB: For any Admins - I have checked all previous mentions of the 95th on the forum, all are closed or need to be closed topics or there is the Grizzly 95th of the Reddit Brigade. My understanding is that the name 95th (Rifles) Regiment of Foot is Available.
