This is one of my favorite Civil War images because it shows the Irish Brigade, one which a few of my family members were in, in a very nicely made piece of art. I would have no problem getting a nice version of this and framing it

I've got a few 'favourite' images of war, but the one that I must put forward first (Whilst I locate the rest) has to be the ever-famous image of US troops coming ashore on June 6th, 1944. (Sixty-nine years and four days ago.)

Simply looking at the stretch of beach they had to cross under fire makes me wonder if a comparable number of people today would be willing to take the same risk for those they don't know, and who aren't even from the same nation.
