Share Your Favorite Images of War

Share your favorite images of war. Any war, it does not matter. They do not have to be real, they can be art or re-enactment images as well. Explain why you like them too.

I shall go first.

This is one of my favorite Civil War images because it shows the Irish Brigade, one which a few of my family members were in, in a very nicely made piece of art. I would have no problem getting a nice version of this and framing it :D

Coolest regiment in the best faction of a great table top game
In theory we could do huge player numbers far over 500 players per server...  As such we will surely keep our promise to deliver you the 500 players per server.

We will probably go (far) over it, but that's for later.

I've got a few 'favourite' images of war, but the one that I must put forward first (Whilst I locate the rest) has to be the ever-famous image of US troops coming ashore on June 6th, 1944. (Sixty-nine years and four days ago.)

Simply looking at the stretch of beach they had to cross under fire makes me wonder if a comparable number of people today would be willing to take the same risk for those they don't know, and who aren't even from the same nation.

That last one made Riddlez chuckle
Probably one of the very few old-timers here who hasn't been a regimental leader.

Wow, that 3rd to last one is great! Really shows their camaraderie. Very touching.

Edit: Found another one like that.

In theory we could do huge player numbers far over 500 players per server...  As such we will surely keep our promise to deliver you the 500 players per server.
