Music is a little bit of over-dramatic. What's so special?

In my opinion the western culture reached its height in/around 1900 if you can talk about hights in culture at all.

Btw I love this retexturing of old black-and-white recordings.

If you count the top days of class society to be a height in culture, sure...

This has more to do with politics than with culture.

If only Fredrik III wouldn't have died in cancer. He would probably have been a more stable leader for Germany.

Nice video but the music is so unfitting. I actually muted the sound of that video and opened a new tab and played "Heil dir im Sieger Kranz".

The music might be more fitting for this video.

In my opinion the western culture reached its height in/around 1900 if you can talk about hights in culture at all.

I fail to see how that is the height. Western culture at the time was just viewing yourself above everyone else who isn't white, the right to impose your supposedly superior culture on others and all around being incredibly racist, sexist and in general intolerant.

No no, the best 'Western' culture has ever been is right now.

This has more to do with politics than with culture.

So having a dictator controlling a country with freedom to do whatever he wants surpasses our modern day democracy, if thats what you mean?

Good old days. People were just happier back then. Nowadays people are so depressed and winey all the time.

Prove they were happier, because as far as i'm concerned you don't have the experience to say that since you didn't live in the 1900's.

Ever thought about literature, music, operas, theatre, art ...?

Nowadays we have missing moral courage, electro music and this is modern art:

In what position are you to say today's art is shit?

People said Salvador Dali was a degenerate for his art. Picassos works were considered trash until he died. Just because something isn't your piece of pie doesn't mean it is worth less than works from past times.

Today's literature, opera and theatrical art is still top of the line, even if it's not the same as it was before it's still great works. Guess what, times change and things do not stay the same, accept the present.
