I am held captive in Captains basement, two days have passed and he doesn't know about my secret escape tunnel. So far it's be-...Oh no he's coming back, wish me luck he uses the whip again!

8th Battalion (Winnipeg Rifles)

The 8th Battalion (Winnipeg Rifles), CEF, was an infantry battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the Great War. The Battalion was authorized on 10 August 1914 and embarked for Great Britain on 1 October 1914. It disembarked in France on 13 February 1915, where it fought as part of the 2nd Infantry Brigade, 1st Canadian Division in France and Flanders until the end of the war. The battalion was disbanded on 15 September 1920.

i found out jornas draws things for money so i commissioned him to draw me one. my avatar is the end product and i think it was worth how mutch i paid him. if you guys want a cool avatar like mine you could always commission him to draw one for you to.

We are a very relaxed gaming group also known as the 89th Royal Guard. For this mod you dont have to be in the 89th to join the XXIII legion but because we are also the 89th we will have days where we do nw events so those who are not in the 89th will have no events that day.

History(we made it up)

The Legio XXIII Gallica fought in the war verus Gaul. Upon the victory in Gaul, the Legio XXIII Gallica were sent home and disbanded. When the civil war broke out the Legio XXIII Gallica was called upon to fight with Caesar’s armies against Pompey. Skirmishes took place all over Italy until Pompey pulled out of Italy and went to Greece. Caesars forces followed into Greece including the Legio XXIII Gallica. Fighting many battles and taking many losses, the Legio XXII Gallica was forced to recruit local Greeks to replenish there numbers. During the battle near Pharsalus, Caesar pitched a strategic bivouac, and Pompey attacked, yet, despite his much larger army, was conclusively defeated by Caesar's troops. A major reason for Pompey's defeat was a miscommunication among front cavalry horsemen. Pompey retreated to Egypt and again Caesar’s forces followed. Battle after battle the Legio XXIII Gallica fought, but with every victory came larger death counts. When Caesar invaded Africa the Legio XXIII Gallica followed. With not many Roman or Greek troops left an uneasy feeling flooded through their ranks. In the Battle of Ruspina, Caesar’s forces being outnumber fell back to a hill forcing the Labienus to come to him. The bloody battle ended in a victory for Caesar’s forces but, Caesar lost about 1/3 of his army. The Legio XXIII Gallica still not ready to be defeated marched on with vengeance for the fallen brothers. The next battle took place 3 months later. In the Battle of Thapsus, Caesar’s army faced the combined forces of Pompeian followers and the Numidians. The battle raged on and upon destroying the opposing forces camp, the Numidians retreated and the battle was won. 10,000 troops wanted to surrender but Caesar’s armies kept fighting. Battered and lacking in numbers, the Legio XXIII Gallica was sent home and disbanded.
