Our story The Loyal Company of Artillery of the City of Orlean was formed on Jun 1789 , after the first stammering of the French revolutionThe first mission they had was to protect the Bastille.Only 4 of them were on this garnison the others where comming the 14 july.A few of them were excuted but the major part survived like the Suisse Guards.After that they had the only one mission to protect the Dauphin of France.They failled as many of loyalist regiments.They joined the Vendée,to served the general François Athanase Charette de La Contrie.They fought bravely for the King and for France.They never lose a single battle under the King's flag.When Napoleon came they refused to serve a traitor who didnt served his king has he should have been.Under Louis XVIII they were the personnal garrison of the King and were send to fight Napoleon went he came back from Elbe Island.
