I encourage my fellow NA players to hop into the Holdfast Melee Discord and signup for their annual draft league. Yes I know the melee mechanics are absolutely insufferable and yes I know some Holdfasters are even more cringe than our community but hear me out.
1.) There is no set format, meaning teams just balance to each other allowing for any size of groupfights (highest I played in was about 25v25)
2.) Nearly everyone gets drafted with only one or two players not getting picked in the last draft. There were 170 signups with only 2 players going undrafted
3.) It is all but guaranteed any one of us would play in a match. There are some serious b0ts who end up getting played on occasion.
Lets be real, NA isn't going to get any healthier and Idk how much longer any of us will be playing. Maybe its time we try our next draft league like how Holdfast does it to freshen up the matches and maybe get some more players involved.
