NA Community Representative Thread: May to July 2022
Yo what's going on guys, GlennofNW here. I am happy to have been elected NA CR for this term of May-July 2022! First off, I'd like to say thank you to Hunteh for being CR for the past two terms. My goal is to update this thread as often as possible to notify the community of any new events.
Now, let’s get started.
The Napoleonic Wars North American community is not in the best shape. Regimental groupfights and 1v1s are now of the past. The competitive scene has now been reduced down to draft leagues. The casual linebattle scene is struggling to survive, but there are still events.
On the other hand, the North American Battle Cry of Freedom (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1358710/Battle_Cry_of_Freedom/) scene is thriving with events happening almost on the daily.
In this post, I will be highlighting what is happening throughout the community and what the future may hold.
I will be providing clickable links to each event if you are interested in getting involved in any of them!
What's happening around the community?
Napoleonic Wars
Wastee has been running a tight 4v4 auction draft league with his Napoleonic Wars Championship Series. (https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=47475.0) This league is currently in the playoffs!
North American Warband Matchmaking (https://warbandmatchmaking.com/) is broken currently. I have been working with Jolly to get the MM servers fixed as soon as possible.
The casual linebattle scene is still around with the joint NA + SA event hosted in Miami on Sundays. (https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=47909.0) This event averages 120 people. The 61e has added a FOL script during the Sunday event which makes the rulebreaker deal no damage.
There is a Saturday hosted NW event on a Brazilian server which several NA regiments do attend. If you are interested in attending, talk to an officer in the ERB discord. (https://discord.gg/RapqCJ4wac)
There is also a Discord that includes the remaining leaders of the North American scene, if you are interested in being invited into this discord, feel free to message me on Discord, FSE, or Steam that will be left on the bottom of this post.
Battle Cry of Freedom
As mentioned, the NA BCoF casual scene is thriving with events on the daily! . On Wednesday's the 83rd Pennsylvania is hosting with another linebattle (https://discord.gg/b3mc6kV7) that averages about 150-200 players. On Thursday's the 5th Kentucky hosts their smaller scaled linebattle (https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=47779.0) at an average of 60-100 players. On Friday's the Union Brigades hosts their linebattle (https://discord.gg/hNhK3S8q) that averages about 200 players. On Saturdays, the scene takes a change of pace with the 8th Virginia with their 1863 Grand Campaign Civil War Event where regiments must follow battle plans and various strict combat rules that creates a realistic linebattle atmosphere. Contact Attila/Jozef#8070 on Discord for more information about the Grand Campaign Civil War Event. This event averages 300+ players! The week caps off with the 41st New York hosting a half siege and half linebattle event (https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=47442.0) with an average of 250-300 players!
Stryker is helping organize the competitive scene of BCoF with his weekly Tuesday and Thursday Pit event (https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=47290.0) where players are selected in a pickup fashion and fight it out in a groupfighting fashion. This event averages 30+ people!
If you're interested in joining the Heavens Arena Melee Community, their Discord can be found here! (https://discord.gg/jhZVcgUz) The Heavens Arena community is focused on tracking player stats throughout their hosted tournaments.
Stryker is hosting the first ever Battle Cry of Freedom Draft League (https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=48287.0). The format will be a 5v5 and 2 subs (subject to change). Sign ups can be found on the thread provided or this discord (https://discord.gg/FY886Q9uGe).
Lastly, the FSE team is hosting a massive linebattle on the 26th of June at 3 PM EST! If you're interested in signing up your regiment, sign ups can be found here! (https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?url=https://forms.gle/gktJy2zEKXQWAbTk9)

Since I know our lovely child Hawkince likes wrestling, I'd like to express how I view myself in relation to him and other such goons that roam the corners of this decrepit community, as presented through WWE personas
Ya Boi

My fav wrestler growing up, and whom made me enjoy playing the villain. So much so, that I named my club penguin character "edge126" when I was around 8 years old. (speaking of which, you can check out my youtube channel from this exciting period of my life here (https://www.youtube.com/user/edge637))
Mr. Hawkince and co.
This is the former tag team of Jesse and Festus. I like to think of Hawkince as Festus cuz he speaks with a lisp and he's also from the South. Jesse on the other hand would be someone like Mikey or Dan the Chef; those of whom like to enable Mr. Hawkince's outspoken and often brutish manner
Also, after having trained at a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym for a couple of months now, I can understand why our beautiful child acts so grossly arrogant. There's really nothing quite like a good wrasslin' after a long day. Of course, like many things in the American society, violent sports were intensely politicized, and high school wrestling programs are few and far between as a result. Honest to God a shame parents these days don't have the trust to let their kids shape themselves into someone great.
Stay classy fellas, and keep paying attention to all of my actions here and elsewhere. The feedback is much appreciated ;D
