Mapping / Tired's Map Cave and Museum - Many AI compatible maps!

Hi,

Thought I'd share the maps I have to keep things going a little bit longer in the game. Many of the maps here aren't my original creations, but I've AI meshed them for use on our servers but don't mind any other groups using them, usually you have to go on our discord to grab them, but I figured I'd put them on here.

Love to give credit to the original creators, many maps were available here on the forums and submitted for use in the default map list and I AI pathed them and tweaked them for use with bots and to add a bit of fun sometimes like basements, secret teleports, elevators, etc. Some maps are ported over from different mods, and I've sought permission as much as possible if they were still around, though some of the owners are long gone by now, so my adjustments and AI meshing are in honor of their creativity.

I see it says no collision I'm assuming, but how does that actually affect gameplay. Does it not allow people to shoot through it?


Also The cav speed bonus has messed up the timing of swings, makes it harder to turn, and almost makes an invisible speed reach with the horse at greater percentages of bonus.

I'm not sure if there will be another patch, if not, then I wouldn't worry about it. But from event servers I will be removing that bonus from cav from my servers.

Plus with the limit for most bonuses at a low Meter like 10m, how ofter as a cav group are you going to be that close to your officer anways, like maybe 3 out of let's say 15? I would say a different bonus like melee speed or health or something would be better in that case.

How To Play:

Join the Human team and survive the Zombie Apocalypse:

Players will join the Human team (Team 1) or Zombie Team (Team 2)

The vast majority will spawn as Humans.

The survivors will work together to beat the clock and win.

Zombies win by killing all humans before the timer ends.

If a zombie kills a human, they are swapped to the Russian (Team 2) team and must pick a partizani, or if open, the Alpha Zombie - Line Militia - 2nd Unit down.


Server Auto-Features:
Auto-switching of survivors when they get killed by zombies
Normal Zombies can only be partizani
Zombies cannot shoot, pick up guns or ammo
Zombies cannot switch back to survivors
Zombies run much faster, but are weaker
Rounds end when all survivors are dead, all players are then switched back to survivors
There can be one Alpha Zombie, which is stronger and more resistant than normal zombies (line militia class)


Player Bonuses:
Survivors gain reloading speed by killing more zombies
Zombies do more damage the more they kill
Zombies get more health the more they die



Server Rules:
1. Non-BBG Regiments limited to one recruiting message per map
2. No Trolling
3. No Delaying
4. Don't say the N word (other slurs  up to the discretion of the admins on duty)
5. No being Unreachable
6. Respect the admins and Players

I've tried and tried, tried putting siege_ladder_move with a var1 connected to entry point 100-110, but I keep on having all kinds of issues since the patch. I can't add move ladders anymore, I just keep on walking through them. I've even copied ladders, same ladder, put it next to a ladder already in a map from the default patch, and I can walk on the ladder that's already there, but not the ladder I put up. It moves like it works, I just can't walk on it. I've placed the ladders in scene editing mode, in battle mode, in siege mode, with resetting and all kinds of things, I can't get them to work. And also I get an error when starting the map after placing it, and in siege/battle mode.

I've been approached to see if I can host a siege server, and I'm really only interested in doing it if it can be worth my time.

But, without shaming other attempts at reviving siege, and other big siege servers in the past, Can you help me by posting your opinion on what worked and what didn't?

What type of extra features or map types or rotation would you like to see if you are one of the people that are interested?

I'm already thinking, as a public server, as I would probably name it BBG_PublicSiege_NA, I would make it more community oriented than focused on my BBG group.

I would probably already start of by allowing regiment heads/COs of major NA regiments to be admins, as I want people to be motivated to play and bring others.

My concerns are, are people even interested, at least here on the forums, in playing this game mode still? As I don't see, obviously, any other siege servers up and running NA.

What about recruiting? Allow it or now allow it? I would be open to just allowing it, within reason of course, but I know the sponsor said he hated regiments recruiting on public servers. He said he thinks it ruined servers and old official servers. But I would like opinions.

Community / Your first Experience with a Regiment in NW?

What was your very first experience with a regiment in NW?  I saw the post that says first experience in NW as a whole, but for me, the first time in a regiment was a lot more memorable. I got in a line, crouched, reloaded, literally screamed at by a captain named Bakon in the USMC, then  he realized I was a recruit and told me to fix my banner and don't crouch and reload later. It was pretty intimidating lol. I was like, what kind of video game is this?

This is my opinion only. But basically with the limit of the 40% of whatever a medic can restore, and how slow they hit, and only 10% per hit, they're effectively useless. Most of the time a shot, if it doesn't kill you, brings you to about 10-20% health. When a medic comes, that's only 60% health max, that means the next hit will kill you no matter what. So what's point if you're 10% or 60% health? I think they should swing faster, be able to heal fully, and heal at 25%. Then they would really be a viable option.

Suggestions & Bug Reports / Cannot change squad size on commander battle

The Scale Squad size and the Max Number of Bots keeps on resetting to whatever my default settings are. I can't change them in the Administrator panel. Is there a workaround, maybe a few clicks or buttons to check first to get it to switch? Like for example if I set it 30 from 22, it goes back immediately.

Suggestions & Bug Reports / Rambo on Commander Battle still worked

Hey, I was admining a commander battle server, and people were complaining of a rambo, I explained to them if a person was last alive then that's a real rambo and ok on the server. However I watched the guy rambo then died, then realized he had another unit. I found his last unit was at his spawn, nowhere even close to where he was ramboing a line. I had the rambo settings on, and I noticed they were working for the most part. I noticed his last unit wasn't a standard cav unit, but was a bugler. Not sure if that his last unit alive wasn't a standard unit was the reason the rambo worked. Just letting someone know

I have a few maps that use mm_17housebuild. The players messaged me that the map has invisible barriers now. Which I didn't remember adding any. I looked at the map, I found that the blocking mesh must have changed on mm_17housebuild. I can no longer walk through it if it is enlarged. Before the windows didn't have collision. I'll change my maps I guess but it would be nice for that collision mesh to be put back.

In Commander Battle, some cav units spawn without horses. I noticed this on all UK cav units. I spawned without a horse an a few of my men. Am I the only one who's noticed this?

First thanks for increasing Custom maps, but I wasn't sure, it appears the people can't vote after 20 Custom maps, I can add more maps, but they're not accessible. Maybe I did something wrong.
