North American 5v5 Groupfighting League

Introduction

The Gold 5v5 NA groupfighting league was created in order to provide a successful and fun Groupfighting experience for North Americans who can not participate successfully in EU Leagues (due to ping). We have selected to do a simple 5v5 groupfighting league due to the fact that it will most likely be easier to manage, quicker and more fun to play. We hope that in by creating a successful GF league we can spark up more tournaments in the NA scene (since its pretty dead atm). Please, get some mates together and join us if you love to groupfight and would like to participate in a tournament!

Information & Rules

The league will last anywhere from a couple weeks to a month, depending on how many times sign up. Games will be played at any time, any day in the week so long as there is a ref (or myself) present on the server. Melee speed will be set to fastest and it will be hosted on one of our own private servers with a custom Groupfighting map. Rounds will also be a best of 20 (11=win 10-10=tie). Matches will begin in a month on January 6th due to the holidays and my inactivity. Teams are allowed to have a maximum of 3 reserves (teams can be 8 in size).

Rules

1. No shooting

2. Reserves must watch the game (unless swapping registered members out - ref's responsibility to check roster)

3. Both teams may only have 5 people on it (if a player drops wait for him, have someone fill his spot or reorganize the match)

4. Only line infantry can be used

5. Only muskets and rankers may be used

6. No fists

7. No jump attacks

8. You may not play under ANY alias besides the one you signed up for

9. You may not pass the white line until both sides are ready

10. No invites may be allowed from other teams

11. Leaders and CO-Leaders must be registered into the Gold Groupfighting League steam group

12. Deadlines may be extended if requested for a special circumstance, otherwise the game will count as a loss for the team that can not make it

13. All inactivity must be reported to me before the team goes active (so something can be figured out beforehand)

14. Both team leaders must try to contact a ref and try to select a time and date to play their matches

15. Matches must be announced on this thread with the date, time and whether or not they have a ref attending the match yet.

16. All team members must play/spectate with their correct tags on

17. All leaders and co-leaders must add me on steam

18. All 20 rounds must be played

19. Games must be played on our server (unless for a special reason the ref doesnt have the admin pw but has his own server or a server to go to)

Referee Rules

1. Do not start the round until BOTH team leaders have said that they are ready.

2. Try to schedule with teams that would like to play, if you may potentially miss a match than contact another referee.

3. Enforce all rules as stated above

4. Join the Gold Groupfighting league steam group

5. Do not have any bias towards ANY participating team

6. Registered referees who are also on teams may not ref the match that their team is playing on

7. Referees must try to check the thread/group daily.

8. Try to give a days notice if you are unable to ref a game you signed up for.

9. Matches must be played ONLY on the groupfighting map setup for this league.

Yes I just copy pasted my last thread but it's ok it worked good enough.

Anyways the league won't be starting till January 6th since the holidays are coming up. Use this time to explain any complaints you had with the previous season and what changes you would like to have done. Risk is going to be my co-host again. Registration is open, all I ask if that if you sign up now make sure your people can play a month from now.
