They fought valiantly in all the things they lost, I grant you that. Their Dragoons were considered superior to French cavalry even by the French commanders.
But, Norway actually won a few battles and could have won the war if they had more resources. Which they hadn't, so they asked for a treaty. Denmark just hoisted a white flag.

To save some of your pride:There is a fun story on a how a couple of French Custom service guys wanted to steal a treasury (in some tax house) in Hamburg, but then a couple of Danish sailors showed up and kicked them out.
