Agreed. Each artillerist is (according to the two rosters) worth the lives of 6.81 Linesmen. Not Opinion, just cold hard maths Pride.
Actually considering we have 6 dedicated Kanoniers, that takes the number up to 12 and a half Linesmen. Again, just maths.

1 Kanonier = 12.5 Line Infantry
