Match planning and administrative rules

Match planning:
All matches must be played within the time given. If you need to postpone you need to speak to an admin who will arrange a time within 7 days of the match who can then arrange a new date. Understand that the opposing regiment can reject this and force you to play on the day. If you cannot play on the day then an automatic win will be given.
If a regiment does not show up to the match, the opponent regiment will receive an automatic win. Please do not sign up if you are not willing to forgo playing your usual events. This is a competitive tournament and we expect each regiment to make it their priorities.

Regimental withdrawals:
If a regiment withdraws from the cup, all opponents will receive a 10-0 Victory. Including matches that have already been completed.

In-game administration:
All admins and regimental leaders will have access to the admin passes. Regimental leaders may ask for their 2iC to have it as well. You may only use it on your own regiment. In the event an admin is unavailable, both regiments will be able to administer their matches. This must be recorded. If it is not recorded then any complaints about the admining will be ignored. No exceptions

Referees:
A referee's decision is final. They must be unbiased and will abide by the rules. No playing regimental leaders may referee* instead a non-playing regiment leader will referee where able. Any complaints about the referee should be made to the organisations administration with relevant proof provided along with the complaint.

Maps:
There will be 3  pre-made maps to be used. This will enable fair gameplay in the 1v1. The map will be decided by an online dice. (1,2 = map 1) (3,4 = map 2) (5,6 = map 3)
A screenshot will be made of the dice and then given to both regimental leaders.

Chat
All chat is allowed and welcomed however if it is toxic or not constructive or friendly in nature then a referee can then call for no chat. Anyone who then uses all chat will then be slain. If the player then continues a ban will be given. Regardless of rank. Regiment leaders are welcomed to request no all chat if they wish but this request must be approved of both regimental leaders

In-game rules

In-game rules
Due to the nature of this being a new thing rules will be fluid until the official start date of ELC. this means they can be changed at any time to better allow the enjoyment and competitiveness of a lights 1v1.

Firing in charge
As soon as melee contact is initiated between either lines then all men of the regiment must stop firing. If a fire is shot during this then a slay will be given. If more than 3 people are shot in charge then the victim regiment may ask for a reset. Once the officer begins to charge, the rest of the regiment must follow. (this rule is subject to interpretation by the referee depending on the situation).

Moving in formation
Whilst moving a lights line may not have more than 4-5  man gaps in between each player. Once your line starts moving out all firing must stop or slays will be issued.
Reloaders must be within 2 man spacing when shooting and if the line is moving should no longer be reloading. If they are reloading after the line has moved then slays will be issued. If someone shoots outside of the 2 man spacing when the line is moving then this is classed as firing out of line and a slay will be given. Double columns are not allowed when moving in the 1v1. Leaders should try and keep the line in one row until forming up where players are then free to move within 2 man spacing of another player.

Fixing gaps
No gaps are required to be fixed in a lights 1v1 if the line is stationary. However it is recommended as moving out can be difficult if large gaps are present and once moved out if the line wishes to shoot again it must be within 2 man spacing of other players. When forming up players do not need to make a line to fire or reload

Officer aim
officers should stand 4-5 spaces from the line to avoid any issues. Officer aim is allowed however a revival is given. This allows for circumstances that may benefit the light regiment but stops the elimination of competitive leading in the tournament. If the officer is shot whilst charging this is not officer aim and the officer will not be given a revival.

Unit selection
Only the nations of France and UK are permitted in a lights 1v1. This is to allow the use of infantry muskets to be used. Both regiments should pick the light class with an infantry musket. Cavalry muskets and rifles are not permitted. If a player should take a cavalry musket then the player will be slain without revival. Leaders can request a round reset before 30 seconds of the round starting to fix any retarded players who chose the wrong class or weapon. Because of the use of only the UK and France the use of swords is not allowed when in melee as the UK does not have access to them. Any player caught using these will be slain, officer swords however are allowed.

Camp timer
After 2.5  minutes both regiments are forced to close the distance and engage in short-mid range shooting/melee. This is called by a referee. If a leader then moves back to the hill before 2.5 minutes after the admin has told them to move then an automatic round win will be given to the enemy team (Referee will determine this.)

Team change:
After 5 rounds regiments will switch team

This new tournament is hosted by the regiments of the 55th, 45thN and 92nd and is heavily inspired by the EIC tournament.
Special thanks to lefty, skitty and unicorn for helping to host this new tournament with me.

feel free to discuss anything rules related here. any other topic should be moved to the main post

I think having like a 5 second rule for melee would be banter. Or something along those lines.

So that people can shoot as the melee begins but obviously can't just pick up a musket and dome the guy in the 1v1 kek
Knightmare is from Albania, no?
Sorry, I can't accept this team.

We had some test runs and when FIC was allowed it really fucked things up. RIC wasn’t allowed but essentially both teams ran at each other and shot in close combat. Tuned it into a tropical paradise thing. We can try again with the rules you have suggested tho, good admining will be key to make this work I think
