Version 2.0 of War of 1812 mod is ready with Warof1812v2 being the mod folder name (so people don't get confused which server to join) Now I just need to upload it somewhere across the mirrors. Get hyped

Don't keep us waiting too long or we will simply burst.

War of 1812 Version 2.0 is now henceforth released. Main Original Post updated and thread topic. I'm editing the channels now to get the message announced.

The Changelog thread is where to check for all changes, the new version includes the custom music.

So today I took a look into the Mac/Linux user's issue with missing textures. The solution is renaming the texture files from Uppercase to lowercase.

I have finally gotten around to testing a rename of a texture
(British_5thWIR to british_5thwir WIR = West India Regiment acronym) for an example. In-game no error pop-up of RGL error. I do need to know if numbers can cause the texture errors as well, so besides capital letters keep your eyes on the lookout for that. I will plan a Mac/Linux version with lowercase texture names especially if Mac/Linux users are unable to change to lowercase.

I do not appreciate comments that imply the mod is dead. Rhein, I will only reply this once, do not make another comment naysaying the mod is dead. I am and have been busy with school. The mod is not dead, I will be looking into the Mac/Linux issue for those users and we want to organize an event. So I would moreso appreciate if you support the mod positively than put on this thread 'rip mod'. Many users of this forum check this board but almost never post. They just lurk around. This mod is certainly not dead though. We War of 1812 mod developers are active online and around. The player logic is flawed with waiting for people to play the mod again, if people want to play the mod then do so. Grab some friends and just play on a server. Try to see if others want to play as well. It is no fault of mine some people have a dis-interest regarding the mod which is why some regiments do not appear online often.
