I don’t understand all the hype

I agree it's over-hyped but it's because it's a direct competitor to CSGO which never had true competition in its space. Plus the fact everyone is at home now with nothing new to play. PLUS 200IQ move by Riot Games marketing  to make their closed beta only accessible by twitch drops.


I just finished playing a game, I enjoyed it.

+ Game runs well, didn't drop frames or stutter.
+ Nice, simple menu options and settings.
+ 128 tick, server ping was good.
+ Gun meta simplified.
+ Pretty much same mechanics as CSGO.
+ More new-player friendly than CSGO.

I think the first year, 2 years this game will succeed but after that people will quickly realize that CS:GO is still the king in this genre.

Just my 2 cents.

After playing Valorant I still prefer CSGO, but I am genuinely surprised how decent of a job Riot Games did at making their first fps game. When I first heard about Riot making their own CSGO, I thought it would be dogshit.

A direct competitor to CSGO should be welcomed, the real winners are us the consumer.

Look what happened after Overwatch first came out, Valve reacted by adding new content and large updates to TF2 which they didn't do beforehand.

It's very good. I don't like cartoon fortnite/realm royale art/graphics. But that's just a personal thing, game plays very well.
