EIC Season 3 Conclusion
Congrats to 96y for pulling out a first place victory. Well done to 59th for pulling through despite being the underdogs. The final was a pretty intense back and forth. 59th took the first half 3-2 however 96y brought it back in the 2nd half to a 5-5 draw. Before pulling out the upset win in a 8-6 win in Overtime! Pretty clean match with few rulebreaks (apart from the officer aims, looking at you CIS team
)
Addressing the elephant in the room - The Format
So this season went by very clean mostly. However where we really dropped the ball was the format. This can obviously only be on the organisers. We were expecting a maximum of around 16 sign ups for this season. However we were taken completely by surprise when we had 25! Now where we screwed up was instead of adding these extra regiments into a 3rd group at the last minute, we carried on adding them to the main 2 groups. This extended the tournament time by an extra 3-4 weeks total. So intead of an 9 week finish on the tournament it ended up taking almost 13 weeks. Now as any tournament organiser or even regimental leader can tell you, the NW communities attention span is pretty poor. So we ended up with alot of regiments dropping out unfortunately, most 6-8 weeks in. My own regiment included.
This is a lesson that has been learned.
EIC Season 4 - Groupfighting Edition!

Its finally here. EIC Season 4 the GF edition will be starting towards the end of this year. I am also very happy to welcome Tardet to the Host/Admin team. Tardet has been posting ideas for new tournaments for the last few weeks with some very positive feedback, so it felt natural to bring him into the team to make sure we can deliver the best season possible.
The sign ups & start date of the tournament will be announced during the final week or two of Kaide's NWCL 1v1 tournament. We will try to leave some downtime to let regiments have a break but we will of course as always check with reg leaders before making the announcement.
