In respect to some lads in a regiment that happened to have the same tags as the ones we were using under the 16th Kampfgruppe, them having used them before we officially reformed said regiment, we have no choice but to find a new name. As of December 12, 2014; the regiment has be amalgamated as the
1st (Royal Scots) Regiment of Foot. I've done a basic edit of the thread as to reserve the name to avoid this situation coming up again in the future. I will overhaul it at some point in the future.
- Congradulation to Private Pancake, who has been promoted to Corporal
- Welcome to our new recruits: Bravo and Cakes
On the day of battle, December 12, the regiment found itself understrength. Despite this, the regiment performed adequately in protecting the armies flanks for as long as they could be held. In one instance attempting to hold the left flank of the army, the regiment was charged by a full strength Squadron of Lancers; though the regiment was mauled by this charge and the reinforcing enemy infantry, the regiment held its ground and rendered the enemy cavalry combat ineffective. Special commemoration should also be given to the newly gazetted Corporal Pancake, who managed to aquire an enemy colour belonging to the 87th regiment. In addition, Private Thomas managed to aquire cavalry colours from the 63e regiment. Both of these individuals were awarded ten shillings in addition to their mentioning in these dispatches.
Signed,
Captain Henry Richardson, Commanding Officer, Centre Company No.1
