A New BoP: Choose the topic!

To be quite honest, I do not know how I will do a Game of Thrones one. It is too much work and I have a really short attention span. There are too many things to consider in a fictional world.
What do you say then, do ANOTHER vote to see what people prefer out of certain historical eras, keep the Game of Thrones idea, and actually let me start working on Iropia, if the team of Iropia would allow it?

Are you really sure you want to host a bop if your attention span is quite short? 

Quite short for hosting such a complex game and making completely new mechanics. It could be a lot easier if we just do a 'normal' BoP.

Game of Thrones is just a lot harder to run. More mechanisms to create. You can easily read up on the German unification or Colonialism in the 1770's, but to understand the Game of Thrones you either need to read the books or watch the series.

Which I do with both, the problem is the are a lot of "magic" mechanics that need to be implemented, which can be really hard and really op in the right hands.

Well I've been working on a 1862 map (I believe that starting in the year 1862 is good. It was the year that Bismarck was appointed Chancellor of Germany).

The map is here, feel free to comment on any wrongness with the map, created it quite quickly. Btw, the red line is the German Confederation:

Alright, I will take this decision by myself.
We will not be doing a GoT universe or a LotR universe.
Starting a new poll to see what historical era people want the most, I have a feeling the revolutions of 1848 (from Italy to German Unification) could be a good idea, as well as the American War of Independence/ American Civil War.
Any other ideas that you might want, will be gladly accepted and I will put on the poll. I want as many ideas as possible, go!

you can easily read up about game of thrones too. I know next to nothing about the German unification so I would have to look up an entire era. That's not exactly easy. And frankly I find that era uninteresting.

And how much magic is there in GoT? In the war of the five kings, there are baby dragons and the red priestess (who is pretty much just an advisor)
