Turns out you get banned if you even go on the bot team... I thought I'd try out going as bots again. I was the 3rd player to join that team with over 80 players on the opposite. I then noticed about 6 other people join the bot team and I suddenly get banned without warning... I've been playing on this server a little after it started up it started and never had a problem until now,
In future, the admins need to look at the log and see who actually changes team or joins later on, then grant the ones who are actually breaking the rules a punishment. It's that simple!
So explain to me, why now?
It takes an incredible amount of time to read the logfiles and place everything in the right chronical order.
Only once takes quite a while and it has to be done several times, or more, -each- round.
If people get paid for it, sure.. (still annoying).. They don't get paid though
No it doesn't.
- For each bot commander.. if you're quick.. you might find it out in 10 seconds. (wether he is allowed to command and ignoring players, who've been commander for multiple games, because that would take even more time)
- Before doing that, you need to be logged in and at the right place.
- After that you need to find the right name (admin user interface is not perfect, it doesnt order names and such)
- Then you need to swap/kick the player. (9/10 players simply switch back, or rejoin and switch back)
- Repeat. (on busy time, players will almost constatly be rejoining attackers)
This for each round, multiple times.. lets say.. once a 3 minutes.
It's more work than an average goverment worker does in a day and still prone to error. (the lack of a good User interface is one of the biggest problems).
Not immediately temp banning everyone, -breaking- the rules.. it takes a fulltime administrator and without pay.. I cannot blame them.
You go do volunteer work 8-16 hours a week, then you might be allowed to complain. (I actually somewhat do that already and I do not complain)
