I can never understand why these leagues don't run smoothly. So much built up animosity towards one another.
It's literally as simple as following the rules and accepting the moderators judgements, but that doesn't seem like a possibility.
1. Poor Sportsmanship - Some people can't accept that they lost without some form of bias or stupidity on the part of the refs/mods, or some form of rule breaking/cheating on the part of their opposition, or a combination of the two, this can be made worse if the moderators are also refs/participants. This leads to conflict with refs/mods/leaders and members of other regiments.
2. Feelings of Entitlement - Some people believe they are exempt from ref/moderators decisions and rulings, so they attempt to push or bend the rule as much as possible. This often leads to conflict with moderator/referee staffs, and sometimes other participants of the competition.
3. Feelings of Victimization - Some people think moderator/referee decisions are made to negatively impact them/their regiment personally. This obviously leads to conflict with moderator/referee staffs.
4. General Lack of Maturity Within Discussions - Some people can't give or take criticism or listen/give opinions without either, taking it personally, or making it personal, or trolling. Which results in potentially relevant and worthwhile discussions being derailed into pointless toxic banterfests that ends in the topic being ignored/forgotten about/lost in the chaos and cancer, and grudges being formed. This leads to conflict with everyone.
