I guess giving the buttons a new look along with a cool transparent background of one of your crowds. I'd also replace the banner with something else.
I created a rough mockup of what I had in mind. I don't mind if you disagree, everyone has different taste and so on.
It's so funny, my original template actually looked almost just like this, but the background was the "hundred heads" picture I have in the original post. Mine had the Banner as well though.
I was afraid it might distract the reader from the purpose of the site, which was to focus on the comic page and not the borders. I like the look though, now that I see it again. If I did go with that look, I'd probably go more lite-tan/sand color. But yeah we're defiantly both on the same wavelength.
Also, the Header is definately going to get an overhaul, same with the buttons. This is frankly a "Beta" version I'm pushing out early before 2016, for my fans and friends here on FSE and over at Taleworlds, before I 'thrust' it out into the "webcomic fan forums". Maybe I'm old-school, but I feel like a Header/Banner should be there.
I love the suggestions though. Keep em coming!
