Have to agree with many of you a Crimean War Mod with mechanics similar to B&I would really put new life into the NW mod community.

Can someone post a little more info about the Crimean war like guns they used and maybe some more?

The Russians had either precussion cap or flintlocks. They were both smoothbored though while the allies had precussion cap rifled muskets.

A Crimean war mod would play out like NaS with european uniforms.

Indeed, but only one side gets rifled muskets.

I think there was a mod for that back in the day. If I remember correctly there was even a moose riders regiment.
This was back in MM though.

A Crimean war mod would play out like NaS with european uniforms.

You can balance it by setting in the 1850's era and adding a faction that still uses the slightly older muskets. You can also give the French and British lines the option of using the slightly older guns with the weapon selection option too. While it might not be 100% Historically accurate it can still be considered fun plus the option is there for those who like to bleed for their fun.

From what I have seen mods set in a single era with only two armies don't last long, I honestly think It would be easier to base mods on eras instead of singular wars and events. You get more interest and can add more content.

There is barely any difference between the vanilla muskets and the N&S ones.

Willhelm is referring to the real world guns of the Crimean War.
