I love french literature very much. I mostly read historical books, but currently I'm reading Stephen King's Desperation. I agree with you DanyEle, it's very relaxing. Personally I never watch TV.

For people who enjoy epic fantasy (GoT-ish), I'd recommend the Wheel of Time series.
It's long as fuck though. 14 books of about 800 pages each (earlier ones are shorter, the last couple are stupidly huge). Amazingly constructed universe though, and I loved every moment of reading and rereading it. Just give the first book a go, it's only 700 pages :P

Been reading the Saxon Stories and The Warlord Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell recently. Might reread Game of Thrones.

Is that the one with the Pagan Lord or is that another?

The Saxon Stories is, yeah. Have you read the books before the Pagan Lord?

No actually, I'm a third into it and it's my first Cornwell novel.

Is it the same author who wrote Sharpe's adventures? I really enjoyed them.

Yes I believe so. I've heard that those are pretty well known.

Over the past year or so I have enjoyed reading the book series name ''The making of England''. It basically tells the story of influential figures from the history of England like Hereward (The Wake) Of Bourne, Edgar the Atheling and Richard the Lionheart. The series is based after the Battle of Hastings and continues on to the Third Crusade. I would recommend the books to anyone who likes Medieval-Action novels.

Oh and I have read all the Song of Ice and Fire Novels :)
