Oh my god that was fast. I love the photo!

Thanks! I thought you would, I was flipping through one of my books last night, and saw 27th and I knew I had to use it :P, would you like more stuff put on the sig? I'll clean in up in photoshop in the next couple days, and I might experiment with adding some stuff..

Well if I had anything to add, I would probably put (Inniskilling) in parenthesis, considering that's the official name, and I might try centering the text instead of having it at the bottom. The 27 on the pack is also backwards but I can live with that. ;D You could play around with the font and text color too if you wanted, and just kind of see what you come up with. That still looks really good though.

Sure thing cap'n!

So a fun fact I found today. While doing some research on the regiment during my off time, I learned there was a Captain Parsons that served during the Peninsula Campaign in 1813 with the 1st Battalion.

Also Walko on those uniforms, one thing gets me. Everything I see tells me that at Waterloo, the 27th wore high-topped shakos like the KGL hats you see in-game. The one in that picture is a more standard shako like the 33rd wear. Never really figured that one out.

Wow, do you have a roster if the real life 27th? And yes there were two variations of the shako. The first was the stovepipe, the flat topped one, this one was worn by all units before 1812. However after that the stovepipe was replaced by the Belgic shako (the one seen in the 5th KGL). So during the Waterloo campaign the 27th would have the newer shakos. The picture I posted is from around 1811, so it was before the new shakos ;).

Oh well that's handy to know. Thanks for clearing that up for me! And yes, I actually did have a roster I believe, I'd have to find it again though.

A Captain Parsons? Clearly it means I should be promoted. Not surprised though. It's not exactly like I picked an obscure name.

Really? Every one of them? Wow. I can feel that though, my grandpa brought a sword home from Japan when he was there during the Korean War, and we traced it back to a German company, but couldn't get the details because all the files had been destroyed during WWII by bombers.

We got a coup on our hands.

Well, I am sure that maybe a couple were left, but they aren't anywhere in which I would be able to view them :/, it's really a tragedy, I would give my left hand to see a 4te roster :P.
