I have a suspicion that my application for 1st Lietuenant was not given due attention. Is there a problem with it?

I don't really want to speak for Newkirk about your application in particular since he and Cold Steel are the ones who make decisions. Regardless, I can say that it's more the sort of thing where when Newkirk feels he can safely add a new officer given the size of the regiment he goes and looks at the applications available. In a time where the regiment is static you're unlikely to get any sort of response. In addition, it's probably best to contact Newkirk about these things privately rather than on a public forum.

Also it's probably better to actually join the regiment before submitting an application...

Not to be blunt, but one of us is a far cry from second in command. And I would certainly agree with Roland on that statement at least.

Since you bumped our thread and asked for a bump for a bump...

I will honor the request and bump yours, Newkirk.

Have a nice day.

No problem, Newkirk. Glad to lend a bumping hand to a fellow 7NA Regiment. ;)

All this bumping going on, I wonder if I should avert my gaze.

Not to be blunt, but one of us is a far cry from second in command. And I would certainly agree with Roland on that statement at least.

I was specifically responding to Newkirk's statement that I was not in the regiment. You do realize the whole thing is almost joking, right? My initial intent was to keep the thread afloat in some way that, should that outcome not be reached, would potentially lead to personal gain. Naturally, I timed it right before the bumping brigade came marching forth, making the entire scheme a failure on two fronts.

I did submit an application . . .

I did submit an application . . .

.... I do now.  :D

I flopped back and forth a lot you see. At first I was like "It's a joke, has to be." But then you seemed all serious about it, and your application was one of the more professional that I've seen in that section and.... I'll shut up now while this hole I dug is only neck-deep.
