Musicians thread!
« on: August 28, 2014, 08:16:09 am »
Are you a musician? Let's hear what you've got! ;D
What kind of instrument do you play? What kinda music? Basically general musician discussion/sharing thread.

Here is me, I'm self taught guitar and singing, been playing for a couple years, but this is the first thing I've ever recorded. Feedback would be great.

From my perspective as a non-guitar-player and non-singer it sounds great. Unfortunately I cannot say anything else about it.

But I play piano quite frequently and I used to play the clarinett, but I haven't since a few years ago.  :-\

Never recorded anything at all. The pieces I'm playing at the moment are Sarabande from Händel, the theme music of the Sherlock Holmes series and The Entertainer from Scott Joplin.
As you can see, I don't prefer any special type of music.

Which one?
Probably one of the very few old-timers here who hasn't been a regimental leader.

I bet most of you can guess what instrument i play. I'll upload something later, for anyone that wants to upload something quickly and show it to the rest of us; Use Vocaroo (http://vocaroo.com/).

Really dig your recording Walko, great job.

Cant record properly, the bagpipes are just way too loud for a small room to be recording in. Sound gets all distorted

These are the only two recordings of my group on Youtube from last year. We've gotten a lot better since them but you can still get a decent idea of what we do. This was one of two sets we did that day, this one on the gospel stage. We play traditional bluegrass, folk music, gospel, and other genres as well such as rock, blues, country, etc. Everything is done in the acoustic style though, no electric guitars or basses or anything. I'm the guitar player on the far right.
