How to add multiple skins

So I know you can't just download multiple skins from several different modders but there are packs such as the Epic Enhancement Mod with skins from several different modders all packed into one and I was wondering how you would go about doing this? There are several skins that I love and would like to add.

Copy the item you want to retexture and name it something else, then create a new texture and material to use for it.
