Cavalry Groupfighting Tournament

O yes! We are back you pony fetish freaks! The Cavalry Groupfighting Server is hosting its 5th tournament for you cavalry freaks to show those infantry freaks that you can be just as competitive!


Winners of the first = 7e Hussard
Winners of the second = 14pk
Winners of the third = 1ps
Winners of the fourth = 8e

So you riders of stallions, shall we see who takes the title in the 5th edition? Will old champions reclaim their title or will a new contender  rise up? Lets find out eh!? As always we are trying out a new version of our rules, so please ensure that you read them carefully.

The tournament will take place on Friday 24th January with everyone in the Server before 7PM BST for the tournament to begin at 7:15PM BST.

Rules

~Teams have to be atleast six players to compete.
~It will be 5v5.
~Extra players are recommended in case one of the members does not show up.
~If your team has less than four players you must forfeit the game.
~Starting matches will be best out of three.
~Semi-final onwards will be best out of five.
~Lancers are not permitted in the tournament.
~Shooting is not permitted.
~Using weapons you did not spawn with is not permitted (i.e if you are a Hussar you can not pick up a heavy cav sword).
~No wallhugging.
~No Dismounting your horse.
~You are allowed to remount the same horse type you spawned with (i.e hussars - lights, heavy's - heavy).
~You must kill all of the enemy team in order to win.
~Continuous Offensive/Discriminating Speech will result in disqualification.
~For ease of recognising teams, Team names must be worn as prefixes in the players username.
~Unless it is your match; you must stay spec.
~The team must stick to one unit type.

Registration

Registration is currently open and we will be accepting 16 teams. It will be on a first come, first served bases. Once 16 has been reached, sign ups will close - you may sign up as a reserve team after this encase any competing team drops out. Please post below using the following template.

Why not first to three? Because with best of three, team which wins first round have already match point...

Because I nor my admins want to be watching matches for 3 or 4 hours. In addition, we always do a quick run round the cavalry regiments so that they can give feedback on when to have it, a sizable amount stated they wouldn't have time to stay if it was first to 3.

Why not first to three? Because with best of three, team which wins first round have already match point...

Remember last time? We were sat there for hours waiting. Which is ok for players but when me and the other 3 admins that were present had to sit there and watch for that length of time it isn't comfortable.  If you're a better team you shouldn't need more than 3 rounds to prove it

Yes but if you choose to be referee, you have to make your duty so you are alright to watch matchs and wait... Yes it's a little bit longer than best of 3 but we play more and it's most interesting and exciting for teams. After all that, if you just want look for your comfort admin so call this, "tournament for lazy admin"

We don't make the tournaments so we can be admins. They're made for your enjoyment. The fact that people like Pride give up their time to make them is an act of kindness and the fact the admins give up their time to help it run smoothly is also a kind thing to do so please don't start expecting things from volunteers.

Hello everyone,
As you ask for comment. Let me give my overall opinion.
We had 6 cavalry tournaments in only 4 months :
2 5v5 organized by Pride
1 cavalry cup
1 french tournament
1 2v2 tournaments
1 2v2 lancer tournaments

Of course, you are not forced to participated in all (especially in the lancers one  ), but in my opinion, this is just no sense to organise so many tournaments in a such short period. We loose all the "hype" of this kind of event.
I prefer making several lb and 1v1 per months and keeping the tournament (especially this one which is becoming recurring) for "big" events. Like one each 3 months for example and 1 or 2 "new" tournament between them (the maximun would be somethingh like 1 tournament per month). A football world cup every years wouldn't be that grand 
Of course, that can't be a rule. Everyone is free to organise every event he want. If I say that, that's because I like this event and I want to keep it "special" and prestigious.
As the previous winner, we can't refuse this new challenge, but I m just giving my opinion
