Well if you move around like my unit does, it gets quite warm. It was floating around 40-55 during the day and was below freezing overnight.

Yeah, SC has a lot of red clay and sand (same with NC) because it used to be underwater thousands of years ago or something of the sort. The event was supposed to be East Prussia 1944.

You stay away from my cavalry overalls, ye hear? They won't fit any of you anyway.

It was around 20 when we were at FIG and a sweater and tunic was just fine enough... there were times where the sweater was getting to hot as well. You're fine just as long as you're moving around.

Yeah, our obergefreiter believes we will be pooped out immediately since we're going to keep moving all day on Saturday. It's a tactical event. 10 am to 7pm in the woods. I'm not too worried about being cold. I've found warmth in my zeltbahn and wool tunic in foxhole at midnight 7 degree outside snowing hard.

Well, your Obergefreiter should also keep in mind that it's better to have your mantel and not need it than freezing your ass off sitting in the car with the heat on to keep from getting hypothermia.

Just saying.

so once im finished with my Dark Ages and ACW impression and i get a job, i plan to do some 13th or 14th century re-enacting.

cos plate armour is awesome, expensive as shit, but awesome.

its like 5.5 grand for a set of plate armour, plus postage of course.
