What confused me was I used Soldat de Deuxième Soldat de Première but when I was doing this I noticed in some diagrams on Mont saint Jean referring to rankers as Fusiliers.
I as well asked some Napoleonic reenacters and they said Fusilier would be better. Its surprisingly tricky.
In French nouns like "Regiment" or "Voltigeur" wouldn't be capitalized but its probably better in this case to do so.
A very good choice indeed!
Just a small suggestion, as you're a voltigeur regiment, you should probably change the rank Fusilier to Voltigeur because Fusilier was the rank in Line infantry regiments. Or just change it to "Soldat"
I agree, it would open ranks such as "Soldat de Premiere" as well. Yet, no corporal either? That seems like only a few ranks for such a big regiment.
Because we are skirmishers we don't need many ranks. Each rank has a specific job entailed with it. This is why I think most regiment should stick at company level ranks instead of regimental.
