Information

The 20th Västerbotten Regiment was founded on August 15th of 2020.  Forming out of the Royal Scottish Lowlander regiment, this new regiment has one goal: to balance being a "competitive" and a "casual" regiment. With a respectable attendance for today's standards, we are here to maintain an even level of discipline and fun. Led by experienced leader Kapten Stryker, Löjtnant Goku, Adjutant Vertildr, and Regementsförvaltare skinny, we plan to make the 20th one of the remembered regiments of the North American Napoleonic Wars scene. Should you wish to join, either join the steam group or add Kapten Stryker on steam, and we will see you on the battlefield!

Historical Facts

The regiment has its origins in fänikor (companies) raised in Västerbotten in the 1550s and 1560s. In 1615, these units—along with fänikor from the nearby provinces of Ångermanland, Medelpad, Hälsingland and Gästriklandwere organised by Gustav II Adolf into Norrlands storregemente, of which seven of the total 24 companies were recruited in Västerbotten. Norrlands storregemente consisted of three field regiments, of which Västerbotten Regiment was one. Sometime around 1624, the grand regiment was permanently split into three smaller regiments, of which Västerbotten Regiment was one. Some of the most notable campaigns the regiment has fought in are the Thirty Years War and the Seven Years War.

Events / NA North and South Event Revival

This is the official revival of the North and South North American community. Every NaS community member will agree that the content this mod brings to the table is better compared to the Napoleonic Wars DLC, and there are quite a few players out there that wish for a revival. I am one of those players, and hope that this reincarnation of North and South will last compared to the other attempted revivals. With a strong event host and a supported warlance server, this event will recreate the fun of the mod at its height. I wish to invite all former North and South players to this grand revival, and will see you on the battlefield in the future. Events will be hosted on Sundays and Tuesdays as of right now, but will expand should more support be given for the mod. Specialties and Server Size will be edited as support for this event grows.

Competitive NA Events/Tournaments / Stryker's Pit

So since I actually liked the pit, and I have a warlance server boasting 50 slots just sitting around all day, so might as well do something that'll help the competitive scene. For those out of the loop, in a nutshell this is a weekly groupfight event where I pick team captains and they compete in a ft15. Team captains will pick their nations, and if nations overlap they will battle in a ft1 for both nations and first pick. After that, it goes down the line until all the players have been selected, and then the battle begins. The first event will be hosted on Sunday the 3rd, with info given out at 9:05pm eastern standard time, and events will continue every Sunday. Captains will start picking at 9:10pm est, so anybody that comes after this time will be a substitute. Rules, though this will not have many other than trolling/teamkilling/teamhitting, will be enforced by hand picked moderators. Announcements will be made on a steam group chat, and a public steam group will also be made so everyone will be able to see when stuff occurs.

Events: NA / Stryker's Monday Trench Event

The Monday Trench Event

Information: So as many of you know, the community is a bit divided over 4thGren Monday Event, and linebattles are getting a bit old, So I wanted to create an outlet for a new event, while also keeping Monday as alive as possible.  Let me preface this by saying I don't care how many people show up to this event, as long as one other regiment comes to this event I will continue to host it.  Should this event get popular, I will upgrade the size of the server to adjust to the amount of people.  Info will be handed out at 7:45pm est approximately, and I will accept any custom trench maps people send to me.  The first event will be Monday the 24th while I continue to iron out the rules, get admins, and maps.  Once specialties are in, sign up on sunday 7pm est on this forum.  Gamemode will be battle, but if regiments post on this forum that they want different gamemodes, then Capture the Flag is a viable option.  Event info ts: 199.60.101.245:10326

Rules: In the area between spawn and the first trench, people must stay in standard line formation.  Inside the trench, regiments may spread their men out by 3 man spacing.  FOC will be allowed in the trench to simulate actual WW1 trench combat, but ROC is slayable.  Regiments may also split themselves into groups in order to cover the whole trench line.  Inside the tunnels, 3 man spacing is allowed with a minimum of 3 people inside, and FOC will be allowed.  Inside no mans land, minimum of 3 people with a maximum spacing of 5.  FOC will be allowed in no mans land, but if 5 man spacing is breached, admins will slay for FOL, ROL, and ROC.  Buildings will have general garrison rules, and ruins inside no mans land have the applied no mans land rules.  If your regiment has 5-9 people you may attach 1 skirmisher.  If your regiment has 10 or more, you may have 2 skirmishers.  As the event grows, artillery specialties will be allowed, but for now we are sticking to line and attached skirmishers.  *Rules are subject to change or additions as the event continues*

Information    The Royal Scottish Lowlander regiment, or RSL for short, is a lesser known historical reg founded on the 22nd of July 2018.  Though the regiment itself can be traced to a month back, this is when the regiment officially formed as an independent entity under a new name, instead of a regiment in a brigade.  Led by Captain Stryker, many of the original members from 2018 have come back to support the regiment, with the comedic duo consisting of Vlad and ACBH refreshed on the game.  With new faces here and there, this is a fresh chance for the RSL to be whatever its members want it to be.      With a respectable attendance for a 2019 regiment, this new RSL is on the rise.  Near the end of the old RSL’s lifespan, the regiment took on a more competitive focus that started to overshadow many of the casual events.  Things have changed now, as Captain Stryker has mandated that the regiment will NOT do competitive unless members of the regiment ask for it.  With three casual events and a swap off between a training/inter reg and the Sunday siege, there is plenty of opportunity for ass-kicking.  At the moment, there are still open postings for non commissioned officers, so any enlisted man still has the chance to prove himself in leadership, discipline, and brotherhood.    On December 4th of 2021, Captain Stryker decided he wanted to bring the RSL for round three. Hoping to utilize the experience gained from the North American community as well as the experiences in the 92nd 55th 45thN and Nr13, Stryker's mission is to bring about a regiment that allows newer players AND high ping north American players to compete competitive European matches. Through brotherhood and friendship, we hope this final iteration of the RSL brings about something legendary.    The regiment was raised as the Scottish Lowlanders (Highland Volunteers) on 17 August 1793 at Fort William from among the members of the Clan Highlanders by Sir Alan Cameron of Erracht.  It amalgamated with the Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-shire Buffs, The Duke of Albany's) to form the Queen's Own Highlanders in 1961.
