May I ask, how you have managed to phrase your words as such that you are labeling the death of an Insurgent by a Soldier the same as Nazi Germany?

The Nazi's struck down innocents just because of who they were.

This Marine ended the life of a legitimate insurgent, who has taken up arms. How dare you label them as being alike.

If this is the Marine I heard about who executed a surrendered fighter, he can go to hell for all I care.


Ok, I'm going to restate this before I get called a "Taliban Sympathizer" or something like that.

From what I've read, and from what I've seen from the Video, the Marine and his squad took a wounded Taliban fighter, dragged him while making jokes about not giving first aid, and then proceeded to shoot him.

Now, I can understand the whole "This is War" argument, how the man made a misjudgment in a heated moment. But for God's sake people, he shot a man in cold blood! Nothing can excuse murder like that! He could have just walked away, left the guy to be found by someone else. He didn't need to shoot him, hell he didn't even need to MOVE him! I don't give a damn who you're fighting or for whatever reason, you don't kill a fighter once he's incapacitated. There is no. fucking. point.

Oh, and before someone says "Well those guys would have done the same thing!" SO FUCKING WHAT. What, we're going to lower ourselves to the level of a bunch of Terrorists now? Should we start targeting civilians too, like these scum? We try to make the argument that we're the good guys and a troop pull shit like this? Who the FUCK cares what the Taliban would have done in that situation, WE ARE NOT THEM. We will NEVER be them, and we should never even THINK of doing something they would.

When people do shit like this, you know what they do? They give the Taliban merit. Now they'll be able to show this around small villages and say "Look at what these foreign savages did to your defender! They killed him in cold blood, they will do the same to you and your families next!" And who do you think they'll trust, the guys who are from their nation or the guys who've been leveling their nation for years. All this does is make the Mission if Afghanistan WORSE. It gives the Taliban more power, more merit, and in the end more troops that they can use to kill more of our soldiers!

The image of the NATO soldier in Afghanistan is almost as bad as the US Soldier in Vietnam. To them, we are the invaders. We're the attackers, we're the ones who have done wrong. This, only gives them reason to think that way.

Do you even understand what this guy has probably been through? He wasn't in his fucking sense when he was doing it, happens to everyone, especially soldiers since they are under high stress 24/7 and go through so many emotions their brain just can't handle it at times. That's why most of these people come back with PTSD and can't sleep at night. Anyhow the minute that taliban picked up a gun and decided to not fight in a uniform it is completly legal to kill him, surrendered or not, fighting partisans and actual soldiers are different things.

These things are bound to happen, and he shouldn't be punished harshly. The British armed forces have always fought very clean in modern wars, much more so than the US ones. I doubt the Taliban will care more about 1 of their fighter getting killed rather than a US soldier walking into a village killing everyone. The US should stop sticking it's fucking nose in everything and let the Afghan government handle it's own shit. If the people support the Taliban and want them as the leaders of their country, then let it be that way, they have the right of self-determination and to make their country the way the want it. But hey, we will always have these imperialist fuckwits in the Whitehouse.
