Started the model-making. Today bought the pack of models:

Main:
Soviet ISU-152
Soviet T-34/85
German Stug
Spitfire
Napoleonic Old Guard Soldier

Minor:
British Paratroopers
Commonwealth soldiers
Rommel and tank crew
British aviators
American Sailors (that was a gift for an amount of models i bought at the same time  :D )

I'll post the progress images from time to time.

This is motivating! Good luck!

Any really good sites for Napoleonic minifigures and paint? I'm going to look into the for sure.  ;)

Are you NA? in that case just check google and you should find some sites to order. If you're EU and are bound to paying in euro's because you need a credit card otherwise (like me lol) they're a bit harder to find but in that case I might be able to help you out.

These are the kind of units I'm doing right now, must say they're really detailed :D

What's the cost of a small set of minifigures and enough paint to paint them? Also, do minifigure boxes come with the plates to put them on it?
Hmm, they differ from ~13 euro's up to 30 I think, it's just about what you want. Mine is a set of 90 figures, including drummers, flag bearers and officers and I paid about 20 for them.
The ground plates are sold seperately, paint costs about 1,50 euro's per color.

It costs a bit to get started, but once you have everything you need it's all pretty affordable, seeing the time needed to finish your projects :D

I'd love to get into this stuff. Seems like a nice way to blow off steam.

It's quite relaxing indeed! You should try it!

This is awesome. How much time do you spend for those?

Looking Good! If i may. id recommend using an undercoat of black or white, it really highlights the details and if you don't paint an area it is still painted. Keep up the good work.

That actually makes sense, thanks! I used a grey primer with these.

You might have to select the country, I don't recall how to do that but here is something that is really helpful! Also would help you get into the miniatures more with others but the store could help you with painting! and also you can see the colors better anyways heres a link: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/storelocator/search.jsp

I found one within 8 kilometers, haha. I'll stop by next weekend:D Thanks!
You've been great help.

If I could recommend something, for paints I'd get games workshops's "cinidel" paint. It is pretty expensive but this is what I've used my whole time painting and never ever a complaint

Thanks, I'll check it out! How do I choose the right colour though? Or is it decided by feel, and there are no specific colours?
